RITES Recruitment 2026 Vacancy Details
  • 5 posts are notified across 3 opening Codes, with the following category-wise distribution.
  • The pen- along with -paper exam for all three posts will be conducted on the same date along with time - test-takers must ensure their requirements for the appropriate post/ opening before applying.
Educational Qualification & Experience - Post-wise
  • The period of training (except on-the-job training), internship, teaching, academic, fellowship, or PhD research experience is NOT counted as part of experience. Apprenticeship training (as stated in the Apprenticeship Act 1961) in the relevant discipline is considered towards the minimum post-qualification experience, subject to other qualification conditions.
Minimum Marks Required
  • UR/EWS category aspirants ( as well as SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwBD applicants applying against unreserved posts) should have a first-class degree, or minimum 60% marks in the qualifying degree.
  • Reserved category test-takers (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwBD, as applicable) should have at least 50% marks in the qualifying degree for consideration against reserved posts.
  • The candidate's degree must be recognised by AICTE, from a University incorporated by an Act of Central/State legislature in India, or another institution established by an Act of Parliament or deemed a University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956. Sections A & B examinations of the Institution of Engineers (India), treated as equivalent to a Degree by the Government of India as well as recognised by AICTE, are additionally accepted. Where a certificate/marksheet does not indicate percentage or division, the applicant must provide the university/institution's departmental conversion formula from CGPA/DGPA; if no such formula exists, an authorised undertaking must be submitted, along with a minimum of 6 on a 10-point scale will be treated as 60%.
Eligibility for Candidates from Central/State Govt./PSU/Autonomous Organisations

RITES Recruitment 2026 Age Limit
  • Aspirants are advised that, Age is reckoned as on the final date of application, 08.10.2026.
  • Age relaxation for PwBD applicants applies irrespective of whether the post is reserved for them, provided the post is identified as suitable. For the Civil discipline posts under this advertisement, Locomotor Disability (OA, OL, OAL, BL, Leprosy Cured, Acid Attack Victims) along with Hearing Impairment (HI) categories are identified as suitable.
RITES Recruitment 2026 Salary

1. Written Test
  • 125 objective-type questions, 1 mark each, for a duration of 2.5 hours.
  • As per the official update, No negative marking - no marks deducted for incorrect answers.
  • PwBD aspirants are meeting criteria for 50 minutes' compensatory time.
  • Minimum qualifying marks: 50% for UR/EWS; 45% for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwBD against reserved posts.
2. Document Scrutiny

  • The department has confirmed that, applicants may appear for the selection procedure in either Hindi or English.
  • Based on requirement along with RITES' discretion, the pen- along with -paper exam as well as /or interview may be conducted from Regional Offices, intimated via the respective call letters.
Medical Examination
