MPESB Subedar Recruitment 2026 Overview
- MPESB, under the Home (Police) Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh, is recruiting for 507 Subedar in addition to Sub Inspector posts across non-technical (Subedar, SI-SAF, SI-DEF) along with technical (SI-Arms, SI-Photo, SI-QD, SI-Finger Print) cadres. aspirants with a graduate degree (or the relevant technical qualification for technical posts), within the prescribed age limit, can send in online. MPESB Subedar Vacancy 2026 – Post Details
- Interested applicants should know that, A total of 507 posts are advertised across seven Subedar/Sub Inspector cadres, split between non-technical along with technical streams. The rulebook notes the number of posts/departments may increase or decrease before selection concludes.

MPESB Subedar Eligibility Criteria
- Candidate must be a citizen of India.
- Non-MP-domicile applicants may send in only under the Unreserved (Open) category, with no reservation or age-relaxation benefit, as well as a flat maximum age of 33 years.
- A candidate with more than 2 living children, one of whom was born on or after 26 January 2001, is not meeting criteria (with an exception where a single subsequent delivery results in twins/multiple births).

MPESB Subedar Application Fee
- An additional MP Online portal fee applies: ₹60 if the form is filled via an authorized kiosk, or ₹20 if the candidate logs in in addition to fills the form themselves as a registered citizen user. MPESB Subedar Salary
- All Subedar as well as Sub Inspector cadre posts (SAF, DEF, Arms, Photo, QD, Finger Print) carry Pay Level 9: ₹36,200 – ₹1,14,800. MPESB Subedar Selection Process
- The official notification states that, Selection for MPESB Subedar & Sub Inspector Recruitment 2026 is conducted in two stages.
Stage 1: Preliminary Written Exam
- Objective/MCQ type, 100 marks, 2-hour duration, no negative marking.
- Subjects: Hindi language comprehension, English language comprehension, Analytical ability, History, Geography, Science, Civics, Basic computer knowledge, Reasoning, Current Affairs.
- Separate merit lists are prepared for non-technical as well as technical posts; aspirants equal to 10 times the advertised posts (per vertical category: UR/OBC/ST/SC/EWS) are called for the Main Exam.
- A 5% bonus mark is available at this stage only for specified categories (dependents of soldiers killed in recent India-Pakistan conflict, ex-servicemen, census/election-surplus staff, NCC "C" certificate holders, as well as returnees from Myanmar/Sri Lanka, among others).
Stage 2: Main Exam, Physical Efficiency Test & Interview
