MP Police Constable (GD) Recruitment 2026 Overview
  • The Madhya Pradesh Karmachari Chayan Mandal (MPESB), Bhopal - commonly known as the MP Employees Selection Board - conducts the online written examination for direct recruitment to Constable (GD) posts in the Madhya Pradesh Police under the Home (Police) Department.   • Stage 1 – Written Online Examination (conducted by MPESB): An objective-type (MCQ) computer-based exam in Hindi/English, of 100 marks along with 2 hours' duration, with 100 questions. One mark is awarded for each correct answer; there is no negative marking for wrong or unattempted questions. The paper covers: General Knowledge & Reasoning (40 marks), Intellectual Ability & Mental Aptitude (30 marks), along with Science & Simple Arithmetic (30 marks), at a difficulty level equivalent to Class 8 of the MP Secondary Education Board.
  • Stage 2 – Physical Efficiency Test (PET) along with Document Verification (conducted by the Police Department): Based on the descriptive test cut-off percentile for each vertical category, aspirants numbering up to 7 times the advertised posts in that category are called for the PET.
