Konkan Railway Office Boy/Helper/Khalasi Recruitment 2026 – Walk in for 30 Posts

[Konkan Railway Corporation Limited (KRCL) has made available the Recruitment 2026 notification for 30 Office Boy/Helper/Khalasi posts. eligible applicants can attend the walk-in interview on 10 September 2026 at the designated venue. Details

Monthly Remuneration & Other Benefits
  • Consolidated remuneration is inclusive of Basic, DA, HRA, Conveyance, as well as Mobile Allowance. It will increase by 4% after completion of every year, subject to KRCL's requirement as well as discretion.
Other Facilities
  • New Labour Code-2026 provisions (Insurance, Payment of Gratuity, Bonus) applicable as applicable.
  • Interested applicants should know that, TA as per KRCL policy, for departmental travel beyond the project area.
  • Complementary Railway Pass for travel on duty; road-travel reimbursement per KRCL policy.

  • It is informed that, Leave: 15 days fully-earned leave per completed 6 months (2.5 days/month, accumulable yet not encashable), plus 8 days Casual Leave per year of contract, plus applicable weekly-off as well as public holidays.
Job Description
  • Assist technicians/artisans (fitters, welders, electricians, carpenters) in POH/NPOH activities, including repairs along with maintenance of rolling stock, wheel sets, bogies, springs, along with alternators.
  • Carry out material handling within workshop premises – lifting, shifting, loading/unloading of spares, wheels, as well as components; support tool handling, cleaning, along with arrangement for maintenance activities.
  • Maintain shop-floor housekeeping, cleanliness of machines/tools, proper disposal of waste; provide basic office support (file handling, document movement, upkeep of office areas) as assigned by controlling officials.
Age Relaxation
  • The conducting body has announced that, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) applicants : 3 years, when applying against the OBC-NCL reserved post.
  • SC/ST test-takers: 5 years, when applying against the SC/ST reserved post.
  • As per the official update, Ex-Servicemen: relaxation is discretionary.
KRCL Selection Process
  • aspirants report in addition to register with the nominated KRCL government at the walk-in venue.
  • A Group Discussion (GD) or another elimination round (such as a descriptive test) may be introduced depending on the number of applicants ; only those who clear this round proceed further.

Walk-in Interview Details

  • Interested applicants should know that, Copy of service certificate in support of claims for Ex-Servicemen, if applicable

  • Aspirants are advised that, Character certificate from a Gazetted Officer/Executive Officer, certifying good moral character
Contract Terms & Important Conditions
  • Initial contract period is 1 year, extendable up to 5 years based on satisfactory performance; KRCL may terminate the contract if performance is found unsatisfactory during the contract period.
  • Shortlisted test-takers will be posted at the Rolling Stock Component Factory, Lote, although can be posted/transferred anywhere within KRCL establishment during the contract period, based on requirement.
  • Picked aspirants must execute an agreement as well as an indemnity bond of ₹50,000 in favour of KRCL, on a stamp paper of ₹100 or more.
  • Contract appointees will not be absorbed into KRCL's regular service, as well as must give a written undertaking that they have no right to claim permanent absorption.
  • As per the official update, Either party may terminate the contract with one month's notice, or payment/remuneration in lieu thereof.
  • No accommodation will be provided; no food or food/mess allowance is payable by KRCL.
  • If, even after the contractual agreement, any document/certificate/information is found incorrect or false during scrutiny or verification, the contractual service will be terminated immediately without notice, besides possible legal action.
  • Statutory Income Tax, Professional Tax, along with other applicable taxes will be deducted at source.
  • Any kind of canvassing will result in disqualification of the candidate at any stage of selection, without assigning any reason
