Indian Railway Catering & Tourism Corporation Ltd (IRCTC) has declared the Recruitment 2026 notification for 28 posts , including Hospitality Monitors along with Tourism Monitors posts. meeting criteria test-takers can attend the walk-in interview from 05 October 2026 to 09 October 2026 at the designated venue. IRCTC SCZ Important Dates – Walk-in Interview Schedule
  • test-takers must appear on the scheduled date along with time at the applicable venue with the duly filled registration form, original documents, attested copies, as well as photographs.
  • Note: In case of extension of the interview date, aspirants will have to arrange their own stay in addition to food.   • The number of posts to be filled (including the Reserve Panel) may increase or decrease depending on IRCTC's requirement at the time of engagement.
IRCTC Hospitality Monitors Qualification and Experience
  • *35 years for UR. Age relaxation is given to SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/Ex-Serviceman applicants as per Government guidelines: upper age is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST applicants, 3 years for OBC applicants, as well as 10 years for PwBD applicants. For Ex-Servicemen, relaxation is up to the extent of service rendered in defence plus 3 years.
IRCTC Tourism Monitors Qualification and Experience
  • Upper age limit as on 01.09.2026 for Tourism Monitors is 35 years for UR. For Ex-Servicemen, relaxation is up to the extent of service rendered in defence plus 3 years. Age relaxation is given to SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/Ex-Serviceman applicants as per Government guidelines: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, in addition to 10 years for PwBD applicants.
Hospitality Monitors Remuneration and Allowances
  • According to the latest notice, CTC: Rs. 30,000/- per month (incl. statutory deductions) as well as other allowances as applicable
  • Daily Allowance: Rs. 350/- per day for on-duty on-board in train(s) - 100% for more than 12 hours, 70% for 6 to 12 hours, along with 30% for less than 6 hours
  • Lodging Charges: Rs. 240/- only if night stay is involved at an outstation
  • Interested applicants should know that, National Holiday Allowance (NHA): Rs. 384/- per National Holiday (if worked)
  • Medical Insurance: Rs. 1,400/- per month (up to 35 years), Rs. 2,000/- per month (36–50 years); reimbursement subject to submission of valid documents

Hospitality Monitors – Scope of Work
  • Responsible for the supervision in addition to monitoring of food production, quality & services in nominated mobile catering units (Vande Bharat Trains/Mail/Express trains/TSVs)/Tourist Trains/Bharat Gaurav Trains, etc.
  • Responsible for the supervision in addition to monitoring of food production in addition to quality in nominated static catering units/Base Kitchens/Cluster Kitchens, as well as kitchens supplying meals to Vande Bharat Trains.
  • Ensuring the working of equipment in addition to proper pest control, as well as ensuring proper cleaning of the mini pantry as well as pantry by service provider staff before completion of each round trip.

IRCTC SCZ Selection Process 2026
  • As per the official update, Selection for both Hospitality Monitors as well as Tourism Monitors is through Walk-in Interview, following the same broad process:
  • aspirants must fill in the online form (attached with the respective notification), completing it in all respects.
  • The completed application document must be submitted at the venue of the interview for verification, along with original documents, one set of attested copies of requisite documents, in addition to two recent passport-size photographs.
  • As per the official update, An interview will be conducted, along with applicants will be shortlisted based on their credentials along with performance in the personal interview.
  • Interested applicants should know that, The offer of engagement will be issued to suitable applicants in order of merit along with based on the number of openings , subject to verification of antecedents.

For Hospitality Monitors, aspirants will have to undergo a pre-employment medical examination, in addition to continuation in service will furthermore be subject to remaining medically fit. For Tourism Monitors, engagement of shortlisted aspirants is subject to being medically fit as prescribed by IRCTC.
How to Apply for IRCTC SCZ Hospitality Monitors and Tourism Monitors Recruitment 2026
  • IRCTC SCZ register process is through walk-in interview; there is no online application portal for these posts.
  • As per the official update, collect as well as fill the Proforma/Application document attached with the relevant notification (Hospitality Monitors or Tourism Monitors) on www.irctc.com.
  • Full all fields: personal details, category (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwBD/EWS/Ex.SM), present in addition to permanent address, contact details, date of birth as well as age (as on 01.09.2026), gender, marital status, Aadhaar number, educational qualification details (10th, 12th, Graduation, Post Graduation), post-qualification experience, along with languages known.

  • Tourism Monitors aspirants should note that they can appear for interview at only one of the two convenient venues.
IRCTC SCZ Recruitment 2026 – Important Instructions
  • This engagement is purely on a fixed-term/contractual basis along with will not entitle any candidate to claim regular/permanent employment in IRCTC.
  • The official notification states that, The engagement will remain provisional till satisfactory verification of antecedents by the appropriate authorities. If any information furnished is found false or incorrect, or if material information is wilfully suppressed, the contract is liable to be terminated without notice or compensation.
  • The contract may be terminated by giving one month's notice by either side. For Hospitality Monitors, if performance during the contract period is not found satisfactory, the contract may be terminated by providing 15 days' notice; for Tourism Monitors, an unsatisfactory-performance contract may be terminated without any notice.
  • According to the latest notice, Only Indian Nationals are meeting criteria to send in.
  • test-takers working in Government/PSUs may submit through proper channel, or submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) at the time of interview, or submit a proper relieving letter from their present employer in the event of selection in IRCTC.
  • IRCTC reserves the right to cancel/amend the advertisement as well as /or the selection procedure at any time without prior notice.
  • The number of openings to be filled (including the Reserve Panel) may increase or decrease depending on IRCTC's requirement at the time of engagement ( as well as , for Hospitality Monitors, as per CO guidelines issued from time to time).
  • test-takers must ensure they fulfil the criteria criteria prescribed for the post applied for. If it is found at any stage of selection, or even after engagement, that a candidate has furnished false or incorrect information or does not fulfil the criteria, their candidature/services will be summarily terminated.
  • Chosen aspirants must furnish a security deposit of Rs. 25,000/- in the form of a Demand Draft. For Hospitality Monitors, contractual staff must detailed a minimum service period of one year, failing which the security deposit amount is liable to be forfeited.
  • Aspirants are advised that, No TA/DA will be paid to aspirants for attending the walk-in interview.
  • Knowledge of computer (MS Office) as well as preparation of reports is desirable, along with the ability to solve problems as well as make rational decisions.
