SSC CPO Syllabus 2026
- SSC CPO Syllabus 2026 has been refreshed by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) for the recruitment of Sub-Inspector (SI) in Delhi Police, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), in addition to Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) in CISF. The detailed syllabus along with examination format remain largely aligned with previous years, with emphasis on conceptual clarity along with speed.
- The SSC CPO 2026 recruitment process consists of Paper 1 , Physical Standard Test (PST) / Physical Endurance Test (PET) , Paper 2 , along with Detailed Medical Examination (DME) . Paper 1 as well as Paper 2 are objective computer-based tests.

Paper 1 Exam Pattern 2026
- Paper 1 is conducted in four sections with sectional timing.
- Negative Marking: 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. Bilingual (except English section).
Paper 2 Exam Pattern 2026
- Negative Marking: 0.25 marks per wrong answer.
1. General Intelligence & Reasoning
- Analogies, similarities & differences, space visualization, spatial orientation
- Problem solving, analysis, judgment, decision making
- Visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts
- Arithmetical reasoning, figural classification, arithmetic number series
- Non-verbal series, coding & decoding, statement conclusion, syllogistic reasoning
- According to the latest notice, Semantic analogy, symbolic/number analogy, figural analogy, semantic classification, etc.
2. General Knowledge & General Awareness
- Current events (national & international)
- History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General Polity, Indian Constitution
- Scientific Research, Sports, Books & Authors, Awards & Honours

3. Quantitative Aptitude
- The department has confirmed that, Whole numbers, decimals, fractions, relationships between numbers

- Graphs of linear equations, geometry (triangle, circle, etc.)

- Error spotting, fill in the blanks
- Synonyms & antonyms, idioms & phrases
- One-word substitution, sentence improvement
- Spelling/detecting misspelled words
SSC CPO Paper 2 Syllabus 2026
- English Language & Comprehension (200 marks)
- Error recognition, filling blanks with appropriate words
- Vocabulary, spelling, grammar, sentence structure
- Synonyms, antonyms, sentence completion
- Phrases & idioms, comprehension passages
- Active/passive voice, direct/indirect narration
Physical Efficiency Test (PET) 2026
- For Male applicants :
- Race: 1.6 km in 6.5 minutes
- The department has confirmed that, Long Jump: 3.65 metres in 3 chances
- High Jump: 1.2 metres in 3 chances
- For Female aspirants :
- As per the official update, Race: 800 metres in 4 minutes
- The official notification states that, Long Jump: 2.7 metres in 3 chances
- High Jump: 0.9 metres in 3 chances
