MPBOU Recruitment 2026 Vacancy Details

A total of 40 openings are available - 2 for Professor, 5 for Associate Professor, along with 33 for Assistant Professor.
"W" indicates a post reserved for women applicants . For Botany, Chemistry, Commerce, Computer Science, Economics, English, Geography, Hindi, History, Information Technology, Journalism & Mass Communication, Management, Mathematics, Physics, Political Science, Sociology in addition to Zoology, aspirants need either:
A Master's degree with 55% marks (or equivalent grade) in the concerned/ relevant/ allied subject from an Indian university, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university, plus a qualifying NET/ CSIR-NET/ SLET/ SET score - or a Ph.D. awarded under UGC (M.Phil./ Ph.D.) Regulations 2009 or 2016 (subject to the specified conditions, which exempts the candidate from NET/ SLET/ SET); or
A Ph.D. from a foreign university/ institution ranked among the top 500 globally in the QS, THE, or ARWU (Shanghai) rankings at any time.
Separate qualification norms send in for Assistant Professor (Education) - Post-Graduate degree in Social Sciences/ Sciences/ Humanities with minimum 55% marks, M.Ed. with minimum 55%, plus NET/ SLET/ SET or equivalent Ph.D. exemption. exemption - as well as for Assistant Professor (Management) - Master's in Business Administration/ PGDM/ CA/ ICWA with First Class plus two years' professional experience, along with NET/ SLET/ SET or equivalent Ph.D.

An eminent scholar with a Ph.D. in the concerned/ allied/ relevant discipline, minimum 10 research publications in peer-reviewed/ UGC-listed journals, a total research score of 120, as well as at least 10 years of teaching/ research experience as Assistant Professor/ Associate Professor/ Professor, with evidence of having guided doctoral test-takers; or
An outstanding professional with a Ph.D. in a relevant/ allied/ applied discipline (from academic institutions or industry) who has made a significant contribution to the field, supported by documentary evidence, with 10 years of relevant experience.

MPBOU Recruitment 2026 Selection Process

According to the latest notice, The recruitment process involves screening followed by an interview:
For Assistant Professor , aspirants are shortlisted using an Academic Record score (based on Graduation, Post-Graduation, M.Phil., Ph.D., NET/ JRF/ SLET/ SET, research publications, teaching/ post-doctoral experience, in addition to awards), as detailed in Annexure-III, out of a total of 100 marks.
For Associate Professor as well as Professor , test-takers are shortlisted using an Academic as well as Research Score (ARS) covering research papers, publications, ICT/ e-content contributions, research guidance in addition to projects, patents/ policy documents/ awards, in addition to invited lectures/ conference papers, as detailed in Annexure-IV.
