MPBOU Recruitment 2026 - Apply Offline for 40 Professor, Assistant Professor and More Posts

Madhya Pradesh Bhoj (Open) University, Bhopal (MPBOU) Recruitment 2026 Notification has been released through Advertisement No. 748/ MPBOU/ 2026 dated 10 September 2026 on the official website of MPBOU. Approximately 39 vacancies have been announced through the MPBOU Recruitment 2026 for Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor posts across 19 subjects.

A Master's degree with 55% marks (or equivalent grade) in the concerned/ relevant/ allied subject from an Indian university, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university, plus a qualifying NET/ CSIR-NET/ SLET/ SET score - or a Ph.D. awarded under UGC (M.Phil./ Ph.D.) Regulations 2009 or 2016 (subject to the specified conditions, which exempts the candidate from NET/ SLET/ SET); or | A Ph.D. from a foreign university/ institution ranked among the top 500 globally in the QS, THE, or ARWU (Shanghai) rankings at any time. | A good academic record with a Ph.D. in the concerned/ allied/ relevant discipline | A Master's degree with at least 55% marks | A minimum of 8 years of teaching and/ or research experience equivalent to Assistant Professor, with at least 7 publications in peer-reviewed/ UGC-listed journals and a total research score of 75 (as per the notification's Academic and Research Score criteria) | An eminent scholar with a Ph.D. in the concerned/ allied/ relevant discipline, minimum 10 research publications in peer-reviewed/ UGC-listed journals, a total research score of 120, and at least 10 years of teaching/ research experience as Assistant Professor/ Associate Professor/ Professor, with evidence of having guided doctoral candidates; or | An outstanding professional with a Ph.D. in a relevant/ allied/ applied discipline (from academic institutions or industry) who has made a significant contribution to the field, supported by documentary evidence, with 10 years of relevant experience.

1. For Assistant Professor , candidates are shortlisted using an Academic Record score (based on Graduation, Post-Graduation, M.Phil., Ph.D., NET/ JRF/ SLET/ SET, research publications, teaching/ post-doctoral experience, and awards), as detailed in Annexure-III, out of a total of 100 marks.
2. For Associate Professor and Professor , candidates are shortlisted using an Academic and Research Score (ARS) covering research papers, publications, ICT/ e-content contributions, research guidance and projects, patents/ policy documents/ awards, and invited lectures/ conference papers, as detailed in Annexure-IV.
3. In both cases, meeting the eligibility conditions does not guarantee an interview call - the university applies stringent shortlisting criteria and may place a reasonable limit on the number of candidates called for interview.
4. Final selection is based on performance in the interview ; the academic/ research score is used only for short-listing purposes.
