As an alternative, the Ph.D. degree may have been obtained from a foreign university or institution ranked among the top 500 in the World University Ranking (at any time) by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), the Times Higher Education (THE), or the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University (Shanghai).

Qualification for ASPUC-14 and ASPUC-17 (AICTE Rules)

For ASPUC-14 (Computer Science) as well as ASPUC-17 (Computer Science/Computer Application/Information Technology), the qualification as per AICTE rules is:
B.E./B.Tech./B.S. in the relevant branch with first class or equivalent in any one of the degrees; or or Integrated M.Tech. in addition to M.E./M.Tech./M.S.

Relaxations and Other Eligibility Conditions

Interested applicants should know that, A relaxation of 5% marks (from 55% to 50%) is provided to Ph.D. degree holders who obtained their Master's degree prior to 19 September 1991.
A relevant grade regarded as equivalent to 55%, wherever the grading system is followed by a recognised university, shall additionally be considered valid at the Master's level.
A relaxation of 5% is allowed at the Bachelor's as well as the Master's level for aspirants belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Other Backward Classes (Non-Creamy Layer)/differently abled categories listed in the notification, for the purpose of criteria as well as assessing good academic record for direct recruitment. The relaxation is based only on the qualifying marks without including any grace mark procedure.
4% reservation will be observed for physically handicapped aspirants as per Government Resolution dated 29.05.2019.
