Qualification

A Master's degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in a concerned/relevant/allied subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. | Besides fulfilling the above qualification, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC such as SET, or must have been awarded a Ph.D. degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time, as the case may be exempted from NET/SET. | The Ph.D. degree has been awarded in regular mode only. | The Ph.D. thesis has been evaluated by at least two examiners. | An open Ph.D. viva voce has been conducted. | The candidate has published two research papers from the Ph.D. work, of which at least one is in a refereed journal. | The candidate has presented at least two papers based on the Ph.D. work in conferences/seminars sponsored, funded or supported by the UGC/ICSSR/CSIR or any similar agency. | B.E./B.Tech./B.S. and M.E./M.Tech./M.S. or Integrated M.Tech. in the relevant branch with first class or equivalent in any one of the degrees; or | B.E., B.Tech and MCA with first class or equivalent in any one of the degrees; or | Graduation of three years' duration with Mathematics as a compulsory subject and MCA with first class or equivalent, with two years' relevant experience after acquiring the MCA degree. | Engineering/Technology: B.E./B.Tech./B.S. and M.E./M.Tech./M.S. or Integrated M.Tech. in the relevant branch with first class or equivalent in any one of the degrees. | Management: Bachelor's degree in any discipline and a Master's degree in Business Administration/PGDM/C.A./ICWA/M.Com with first class or equivalent, and two years of professional experience after acquiring the Master's degree. | Postgraduate degree with minimum 55% marks in the discipline relevant to the area of specialization; | Postgraduate degree in Education (M.Ed./M.A. Education) with minimum 55% marks; | Any other qualification prescribed by UGC, such as NET qualification. | A relaxation of 5% marks (from 55% to 50%) is provided to Ph.D. degree holders who obtained their Master's degree prior to 19 September 1991. | A relevant grade regarded as equivalent to 55%, wherever the grading system is followed by a recognised university, shall also be considered valid at the Master's level. | A relaxation of 5% is allowed at the Bachelor's as well as the Master's level for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Other Backward Classes (Non-Creamy Layer)/differently abled categories listed in the notification, for the purpose of eligibility and assessing good academic record for direct recruitment. The relaxation is based only on the qualifying marks without including any grace mark procedure. | 4% reservation will be observed for physically handicapped candidates as per Government Resolution dated 29.05.2019. | 30% reservation for women shall be observed as per Government norms. | A Non-Creamy Layer Certificate is required for candidates belonging to DT-A, NT-B, NT-C, NT-D, OBC and SBC categories, as per Government of Maharashtra Resolution dated 16 December 2017, issued by the competent authority and valid till 31.03.2027. | Reserved category candidates should submit their Caste Validity Certificate as per the Government Resolution, wherever applicable. | As per Government Resolution No. BCC-2016/PK 228A/16/16 B dated 29 May 2017, A/B/C/D points in the VJ/NT category are interchangeable. | Weightage shall be given to applicants who have published work of high quality and who have succeeded in bringing funds by submitting research projects to funding agencies such as UGC/CSIR/DST/DBT/TWAS/ISSR/AICTE etc. | Candidates belonging to a specific reserved category from Maharashtra State alone shall be considered for reserved posts, and they must submit a Caste Validity Certificate at the time of joining. | Reserved category candidates domiciled outside Maharashtra State will be treated as Open category candidates as per Govt. G.R. No. CBC-1290/23116/pra.kra.378/avaka-5 dated 24.08.95. | Candidates who have cleared the State Eligibility Test (SET) from a State other than Maharashtra shall not be considered for appointment. | As per State Govt. Notification No. SRV.2000/CR (17/2000)/XII dated 28 March 2005 issued by the General Administration Department, Mantralaya, Mumbai, candidates must submit the prescribed small family declaration as one of the essential qualifications for recruitment, in the proforma attached as Appendix B. | Knowledge of the Marathi language is desirable for all posts.

Selection process

  1. Criteria for short-listing of candidates for interview for the contractual post of Temporary Assistant Professor in the university will be as per Table 3A of the Maharashtra Government Resolution dated 08 March 2019.
  2. Selection of the candidate will be as per the Maharashtra Government Resolution dated 08 March 2019.
  3. The list of candidates called for interview will be published on the university website, and no postal correspondence will be made in this regard.
  4. Mere possession of minimum qualifications does not confer any right to be called for interview and/or selection.
  5. Canvassing directly or indirectly will be treated as disqualification.
