Citizenship
- The candidate must be a citizen of India, or possess nationality as provided under Rule-7 of the Gujarat Civil Services Classification along with Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967.
GSSSB Sanitary Inspector Selection Process
- Selection is through a single-stage competitive written examination (CBRT/OMR based), conducted in two parts:
Exam Pattern
- Total 210 questions (multiple-choice), 210 marks, combined duration of 3 hours (180 minutes) for Part A as well as Part B.
- According to the latest notice, Negative marking: ¼ mark deducted for each wrong answer.
- Aspirants are advised that, Qualifying standard: Minimum 40% separately in both Part A in addition to Part B, for all categories.
- Document verification is called for aspirants up to approximately twice the number of posts per category, based on provisional merit.
- Final selection list along with waiting list are prepared based on marks obtained, category-wise posts , in addition to document verification outcome.

- Go to "Online Application" → click submit → select GSSSB .
- According to the latest notice, Select Advertisement No. 455/2026-27, Sanitary Inspector, Class-3 along with click send in.
- Read the "More Details" notification carefully before proceeding.
- Click " register Now" → "Skip" to open the application format in addition to fill in Personal Details.
- Fill in Educational Details in the next step.
- Accept the declaration/assurance ("Yes") in addition to click Save to generate the Application Number.
- According to the latest notice, Upload photograph in addition to signature in the prescribed JPG format in addition to size.
- Click "Confirm Application" after a final review.

Important Conditions
- Reserved-category aspirants applying against unreserved posts will not get reserved-category relaxations.
- Category details cannot be changed after confirmation.
- The official notification states that, eligible widow women applicants may receive additional merit marks subject to conditions.
- shortlisted sports aspirants may receive additional merit marks.
- Scribe/compensatory time facility is available to chosen applicants as per rules.
- Applicable Gujarat recruitment in addition to examination rules govern the recruitment.
- It is informed that, Malpractice may result in disqualification along with legal action.
- Passing the written examination does not itself confer a right to appointment.
- The Board reserves the right to modify or cancel the recruitment process.
