GSSSB Vacancy 2026 – Post Details
  • There are 41 total openings across two Class-3 posts under this GSSSB Recruitment 2026 notification. The category-wise breakup is listed below (category codes: UR – Unreserved, EWS – Economically Weaker Section, SC – Scheduled Caste, ST – Scheduled Tribe, SEBC – Socially along with Educationally Backward Class). Note that the opening count is provisional along with may be revised by GSSSB.
  • A sub-quota for women applicants is reserved within each category's posts (e.g. 2 of the 6 UR posts under Research Assistant are reserved for women). No positions have been reserved for PwD test-takers in this advertisement; a separate PwD recruitment drive will be notified. 10% of posts are reserved for ex-servicemen, adjusted against their respective category.
GSSSB Qualification
  • The same educational qualification applies to both Research Assistant in addition to Statistical Assistant, Class-3, as assessed on 23/09/2026 (the last day to register).
GSSSB Recruitment 2026 Age Limit
  • As on 23/09/2026, applicants must be not less than 18 years along with not more than 37 years of age. Age relaxation is available according to the table below (all relaxations subject to a maximum age of 45 years, except where noted).

GSSSB Recruitment 2026 Salary
  • Chosen test-takers will receive a fixed monthly salary for the first five years, after which they become meeting criteria for the regular pay scale (according to the 7th Pay Commission) subject to satisfactory service - along with subject to the outcome of pending Supreme Court SLP Nos. 14124/2012 as well as 14125/2012.
GSSSB Recruitment 2026 Application Fee
  • The conducting body has announced that, Application fee must be paid online (debit card, internet banking, UPI, or wallet) after submitting the form, by 26 September 2026 (11:59 PM). A transaction fee applies in addition to the exam fee.
  • The fee is refunded only to applicants who actually appear for the examination; it is not refunded to those who do not appear.
GSSSB Recruitment 2026 Selection Process
  • Selection for both Research Assistant as well as Statistical Assistant is through a single-stage Computer Based Response Test (CBRT)/OMR-based objective (MCQ) competitive examination, held in one paper divided into Part-A in addition to Part-B.
  • Part-A (90 marks, 90 questions): Reasoning & Data Interpretation (30), Quantitative Aptitude (30), Constitution of India, Current Affairs & Gujarati-English Comprehension (30)
  • Part-B (120 marks, 120 questions): Subject-related questions based on educational qualification - Statistics (30), Authorized Statistics (30), Mathematics (30), Economics (30)
  • Total: 210 questions, 210 marks, combined duration of 3 hours (180 minutes)
  • The official notification states that, Negative marking: 1/4 mark deducted for each wrong answer
  • Aspirants are advised that, Minimum qualifying standard: 40% in Part-A along with 40% in Part-B, independently, for all categories
  • Interested applicants should know that, aspirants (roughly twice the category-wise openings ) are called for document verification based on provisional merit
  • Candidates should note that, Final selection list is prepared based on marks obtained, subject to category-wise posts
  • Part-A questions are in Gujarati along with English. In Part-B, the Constitution/Current Affairs along with subject-related questions are bilingual; the Gujarati comprehension section is Gujarati-only in addition to the English comprehension section is English-only.

  • GSSSB submit Online is available only through the OJAS portal - no offline applications are accepted.
  • It is informed that, Go to ojas.gujarat.gov.in
  • Go to "Online Application," click submit , along with select GSSSB
  • Select Advertisement No. 457/202627, Class-3, click submit Now
  • Fill in Personal Details as well as Educational Details
  • The official notification states that, Accept the declaration under "Assurance" as well as click Save to generate your Application Number
  • Upload photograph along with signature in the specified size in addition to format
  • Click "Confirm Application" to generate your Confirmation Number (no edits possible after this step)
