GPSC Final Selection Process - Weightage for Exam and Interview
  • shortlisted aspirants must understand how the final merit list will be prepared, as the preliminary exam score is only one part of the selection procedure.
  • According to the GPSC office order dated 30 July 2016 (effective 01 August 2016), the final selection for direct recruitment will be based on:
  • 50% weightage from the marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination.
  • 50% weightage from the marks obtained in the Personal Interview (Rubaru Mulakat).
Documents Required for GPSC Application Scrutiny 2026
  • According to the latest notice, All chosen aspirants must upload the required documents online at gpsc.gujarat.gov.in . Physical or postal submissions will not be accepted. Below is the detailed list of documents required:
  • Copy of SSC Credit Certificate (as proof of date of birth - school leaving certificate will not be accepted)
  • As per the official update, Government Gazette copy or Marriage Registration Certificate (if name/surname has been changed)
  • Caste Certificate from a competent authority (for SC, ST, as well as SEBC test-takers)
  • Appendix-K in Gujarati format with specific application number as well as date (for SEBC test-takers) - Annexure-A in English or for central government recruitment will not be accepted
  • The official notification states that, Medical certificate in the prescribed format from a Government Hospital Superintendent/Civil Surgeon/Medical Board (for Divyang/PwD test-takers)

  • Navigate to Advertisement No. 124/2025-26 (DEE Civil) or 98/2025-26 (Inspector) as applicable.
  • Open your confirmed online application document. If your photograph or signature is missing, attach a passport-size photo or sign the form again.
  • Interested applicants should know that, Upload scanned copies of all required documents as listed in the departmental circular.
  • Submit your application within the deadline notified by GPSC on their website.
  • Note: Applications submitted physically or by post will be automatically rejected. Only online submissions through the authorized portal are accepted.
What Happens After Application Scrutiny - Next Steps
  • applicants who are found meeting criteria after document verification will proceed to the personal interview stage. Here is what to expect:
  • After document scrutiny, GPSC will publish a separate list of test-takers eligible for the Personal Interview (Rubaru Mulakat) on the authorized notice board as well as website.
  • According to the latest notice, If sufficient test-takers are not found meeting criteria for the interview from the current list, GPSC may provisionally add more applicants from the merit list who scored above the minimum qualifying marks (as per office orders dated 04 July 2025 in addition to 17 September 2025).
