Goa Public Service Commission (GPSC) has made available the Recruitment 2026 notification for 38 posts, including Assistant Professor, Embryologist in addition to Veterinary Officer posts. The online application process will be conducted from 14.08.2026 to 28.08.2026 for regular posts, while the deadline for the Transfer on Deputation post is 28.09.2026. chosen applicants may submit through the authorized site, gpsc.goa.gov.in.

GPSC Vacancy Details 2026
  • A total of 38 posts are advertised under Advertisement No. 08/2026, spread across the Public Health Department (Goa Medical College) as well as the Directorate of Animal Husbandry along with Veterinary Services.
  • Note: For the Veterinary Officer post, if suitable PwD applicants are not available, the equal number of posts will be kept vacant from the Unreserved category rather than being filled by other applicants , according to the notification.
1. Assistant Professor - Anaesthesiology (Transfer on Deputation) - 7 Posts
  • qualification : Officers under the Central/State Governments/Union Territories Administration holding analogous posts.
  • Deputation Period: Ordinarily not exceeding three years.
  • Interested applicants should know that, Pay Scale: Pay Matrix Level-11
2. Assistant Professor - Occupational Therapy - 2 Posts
  • Candidates should note that, Age Limit: Not exceeding 45 years
  • The department has confirmed that, Essential Qualification: Master's degree in Occupational Therapy (M.Sc. in Occupational Therapy / M.OT) from a recognised university; 3 years teaching experience in the concerned speciality; Knowledge of Konkani
  • Desirable: Knowledge of Marathi
  • Pay Scale: Pay Matrix Level-11
3. Embryologist - 1 Post
  • Age Limit: Not exceeding 45 years
  • Interested applicants should know that, Essential Qualification (any one of the following): Post Graduate in Clinical Embryology (minimum four semesters, full-time) with an additional 3 years of human Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) laboratory experience, OR
  • As per the official update, Ph.D. (full-time, project related to Clinical Embryology/ART/Fertility) with 1 additional year of human ART laboratory experience, OR
  • The conducting body has announced that, MBBS/BVSc with a PG degree in Clinical Embryology (full-time) plus 2 years of ART laboratory experience, OR
  • PG in Life Sciences or Biotechnology with 1 year of on-site full-time Clinical Embryology certified training, plus 4 years of experience in an ART Level 2 clinic
4. Assistant Professor (Super-Speciality) - Plastic Surgery, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Medical Oncology, Urology, Endocrinology - 8 Posts
  • Age Limit: Not exceeding 45 years
  • Essential Qualification: A recognised medical qualification under the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956; a post graduate degree/equivalent in the relevant speciality from an NMC-recognised college; at least one year of teaching or research experience in the super-speciality after obtaining DM/M.Ch. (No experience is required if the DM/M.Ch. is of three years duration); Knowledge of Konkani
  • Desirable: Knowledge of Marathi
  • Pay Scale: Pay Matrix Level-11
5. Assistant Professor - Geriatrics Medicine - 1 Post
  • The official notification states that, Age Limit: Not exceeding 45 years
  • Essential Qualification: A recognised medical qualification under the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956; a post graduate degree/equivalent in the speciality from an NMC-recognised college; at least three years experience as a lecturer or equivalent teaching post after the PG degree; Knowledge of Konkani
  • Desirable: Knowledge of Marathi
  • Pay Scale: Pay Matrix Level-11
6. Veterinary Officer - 19 Posts
  • According to the latest notice, Age Limit: Not exceeding 45 years
  • Interested applicants should know that, Essential Qualification: Recognised Veterinary qualification under the First or Second Schedule to the Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984, along with registration with the Goa State Veterinary Council; Knowledge of Konkani
  • Desirable: Experience in Cattle Development, Poultry Development, or running a Veterinary Dispensary; Knowledge of Marathi
  • Pay Scale: Pay Matrix Level-7
Konkani Language Relaxation Clause
  • As stated in the notification, in case suitable test-takers with knowledge of Konkani are not available, the GPSC may recommend a candidate found otherwise fit. This requirement can be relaxed by the Government on the Commission's recommendation, if considered necessary, in the case of Group 'A' posts in Professional Colleges along with Consultants in the Directorate of Health Services.

  • The notification specifies pay scale only in line with the applicable Pay Matrix Level for each post:

GPSC Selection Process 2026
  • The notification states that prescribed Educational Qualifications (EQs) are the minimum requirement, in addition to mere possession of the EQs does not entitle a candidate to be called for interview. Where the number of applications received is large, the Commission will shortlist aspirants to be called for interview, in line with the "Instructions" available on the Commission's website.   • After successful payment, get the completed registration form.
  • Ensure a valid email address along with mobile number are entered, as all communication from the Commission will be sent through these.
Important Instructions
  • As per the official update, The deadline for applications for all posts, except the Transfer on Deputation post, is 28.08.2026.
  • The closing date for the Transfer on Deputation post is 28.09.2026.
  • The department has confirmed that, Applications with fee payment made after the final date will be summarily rejected, as well as no refund will be given.
