- If no suitable or meeting criteria candidate appears for interview, a candidate picked for the lower post (that is, Assistant Professor for Associate Professor, or Associate Professor for Professor) will be permitted to be interviewed against the higher post. If such a candidate is picked, they will be appointed to the lower post with suitable down gradation as per requirements in addition to the recommendation of the selection board.
