APPSC Group A & Group B Recruitment 2026 Overview
- APPSC, on behalf of the Government of Arunachal Pradesh, is recruiting for 155 Group-A as well as Group-B Gazetted (Technical) posts across the Departments of Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary, in addition to Textiles & Handicrafts. Only Permanent Residents of Arunachal Pradesh holding a valid APST Certificate, with the relevant technical qualification in addition to proficiency in an Indigenous Tribal Language, can submit . APPSC Group A & Group B Vacancy 2026 – Post Details
- Candidates should note that, APPSC has advertised a total of 155 posts under this notification, of which 6 posts are reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD). post numbers are based on requisitions submitted by the indenting departments along with may be revised by the Commission.
APPSC Group A & Group B Eligibility Criteria
- The official notification states that, test-takers applying for this recruitment must satisfy all three mandatory qualification conditions notified vide Government Notification F.No.AR-33/17/2026-SECT-1-AR dated 26th August 2026.
- It is informed that, Permanent Residence Criterion: Candidate must be a citizen of India as well as an inhabitant of Arunachal Pradesh holding a valid Permanent Residence Certificate (PRC).
- Indigenous Status along with APST Criterion: Candidate must be an original inhabitant of Arunachal Pradesh along with hold an Arunachal Pradesh Scheduled Tribe (APST) Certificate in line with the list of Tribes notified under the Constitution (Scheduled Tribes) Order, 1950.
- Interested applicants should know that, Indigenous Tribal Language Proficiency Criterion: Candidate must be able to speak an Indigenous Tribal Language of Arunachal Pradesh along with possess working knowledge of the local indigenous tribes, per the implementation mechanism notified by the Government.
APPSC Group A & Group B Qualification (Post-wise)
- applicants who have appeared or are appearing in the final semester of the qualifying course may as well send in, however must submit proof of having passed the qualifying exam in original on or before the date of interview, failing which they will not be permitted to appear for the viva-voce.
APPSC Group A & Group B Age Limit

- Age relaxation of up to 5 years for aspirants belonging to the Arunachal Pradesh Scheduled Tribe (APST) category.

- A one-time upper age relaxation applies for test-takers applying for the earlier cancelled examinations (ADO, HDO, VO, along with DDO posts), per Government Notification dated 29th June 2026.
- Date of birth accepted will be as entered in the Matriculation Certificate issued by a recognized Board; no other document (horoscope, affidavit, birth extract, etc.) will be accepted as age proof.

APPSC Group A & Group B Salary
- Chosen test-takers for Group-A posts (Agriculture Development Officer, Horticulture Development Officer, Veterinary Officer, Assistant Director-Sericulture) will be placed in Pay Level 10, carrying a pay scale of ₹56,100–₹1,77,500. The Dairy Development Officer (Group-B) post carries Pay Level 6, ₹35,400–₹1,12,400.

APPSC Group A & Group B Selection Process
- Interested applicants should know that, Selection is based on a Written Examination followed by an Interview/Viva-voce, as stated in the Scheme of Examination notified by the Administrative Reforms Department dated 24th July 2026.
Qualifying Criteria for Viva-voce
- General applicants must score an aggregate of 33% of total marks in the pen- in addition to-paper test, with at least 20% in each paper/subject.
- As per the official update, PwBD aspirants must score an aggregate of 20% of total marks in the pen- along with -paper test, with at least 10% in each paper/subject.
- The official notification states that, aspirants invited for Interview/Viva-voce will be about 3 times the number of advertised posts (post/category-wise), or as decided by the Commission.
Recruitment Test (Screening, if Applicable)
- The conducting body has announced that, If the number of applicants exceeds the requisite ratio, the Commission will conduct an Objective Type Recruitment Test as a screening stage only - its marks are not counted toward the final merit.
- Candidates should note that, applicants equal to 12 times the advertised posts, based on Recruitment Test performance, will be admitted to the Written Examination.
How to Apply for APPSC Group A & Group B Recruitment 2026
- Go to the authorized APPSC website at appsc.gov.in .
- Full One Time Registration (OTR) if not already registered; existing OTR users can log in directly with their user ID along with password.
- Fill in the online online form with personal, educational, along with requirements details.
- Upload the required scanned documents (photo, signature, certificates) in line with the prescribed specifications.
- Pay the application fee of ₹200 online (PwD aspirants are exempted).
- Review all details carefully - no additional time will be given for changes after final submission.

- Signature on white paper with black ink pen (scanned, 40–50 KB, JPG).
- Recent colour passport-size photo, white background, both ears visible, no headgear/sunglasses (scanned, 40–100 KB, JPG).
- Self-attested photo ID (Aadhaar/Voter ID/PAN/Passport/Driving License or other government-issued photo ID).
- Self-attested Arunachal Pradesh Scheduled Tribe (APST) Certificate.
- The department has confirmed that, Self-attested Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) of Arunachal Pradesh.
- Self-attested Bachelor's Degree certificate along with mark-sheets/mark statements.
- Self-attested Post Graduate Diploma in Sericulture certificate as well as mark-sheet (for Assistant Director-Sericulture applicants only).
- Self-attested registration certificate/record in the Arunachal Pradesh State Veterinary Council (for Veterinary Officer applicants only).

- Disability certificate (for PwBD applicants claiming reservation/concession), issued before 30th September 2026.

Facility of Scribe and Compensatory Time (PwBD Candidates)

APPSC Group A & Group B Recruitment 2026 – Important Instructions
- Admission at all stages of examination (Recruitment Test, Written Examination, or Viva-voce) is purely provisional; ineligibility discovered at any stage will lead to cancellation of candidature.
