  • The conducting body has announced that, get Department notice
AP High Court Civil Judge Vacancy 2026
  • The High Court of Andhra Pradesh may increase, decrease or cancel the notified posts at any stage of the selection procedure.
Who Can Apply for AP High Court Civil Judge LDCE 2026?
  • Only serving officers in the cadre of Civil Judge (Junior Division) under the Andhra Pradesh State Judicial Service can send in.
  • The candidate must have completed at least three years of service as Civil Judge (Junior Division) by 31 March 2026 .
AP High Court Civil Judge Qualification 2026
  • A candidate seeking accelerated promotion to Civil Judge (Senior Division) through the LDCE must:
  • Be serving as a Civil Judge (Junior Division) in the Andhra Pradesh State Judicial Service.
  • Have completed not less than three years of service in that cadre by 31 March 2026.
  • Possess the necessary educational along with service qualifications prescribed under the Andhra Pradesh State Judicial Service rules.
Disqualification Conditions
  • The following officers are not meeting criteria to submit :
  • An officer facing disciplinary charges.
  • An officer undergoing punishment for any irregularity in the discharge of duties.
  • The department has confirmed that, An officer whose integrity has been found doubtful in any year.

AP High Court Civil Judge Selection Process 2026
  • The recruitment process may include the following stages:
  • Computer-based screening test, if required
  • The department has confirmed that, Written examination
  • Viva voce
  • Document verification
AP High Court Civil Judge Screening Test Pattern
  • The High Court may conduct a computer-based screening test depending on the number of applications received.
  • The screening test marks will be used only for shortlisting applicants for the written examination. These marks will not be added to the final selection marks.
AP High Court Civil Judge Written Examination Pattern
  • The official notification states that, The written examination consists of three papers. Each paper carries 100 marks in addition to has a duration of three hours.
  • Questions must be answered in English, except for the translation portion of Paper-III.
Paper-III English Pattern
  • The conducting body has announced that, Test-takers must obtain at least 40% marks separately in each part of Paper-III. Marks obtained in Paper-III will not be counted for determining requirements for viva voce or final selection.
Minimum Qualifying Marks
  • To qualify for the viva voce, applicants must obtain:
  • At least 55% marks in Paper-I.
  • Candidates should note that, At least 55% marks in Paper-II.
  • At least 60% aggregate marks in the written examination.
  • The official notification states that, At least 40% marks separately in each part of Paper-III.
AP High Court Civil Judge Viva Voce
  • The conducting body has announced that, test-takers who remain absent from the viva voce will be disqualified from the selection procedure.
  • No travelling allowance or daily allowance will be paid for attending the screening test, written examination or viva voce.
Final Merit List
  • According to the latest notice, The final merit list will be prepared using marks secured in Paper-I, Paper-II in addition to viva voce. Paper-III marks along with screening test marks will not be added to the final merit score.
  • If two or more applicants obtain equal marks, preference will be decided in the following order:
  • Candidate older in age
  • Candidate possessing a higher educational qualification
  • Candidate securing higher marks in the prescribed educational qualification

  • Access the AP High Court department website at aphc.gov.in .
  • collect Notification R.O.C. No. 366/2026-RC in addition to the prescribed application document.
  • Fill in all personal, educational, service as well as category details.
  • Affix a recent passport-size photograph attested by the concerned Unit Head or Principal District Judge.
  • Prepare the applicable Demand Draft in favour of the Registrar (Recruitment), High Court of Andhra Pradesh, Nelapadu, Amaravati.
  • Attach the service certificate, appointment order as well as applicable educational as well as community certificates.
