Educational Qualification (as on 01.07.2026) Post Qualification SI (Civil), RSI (AR), SI (SPF) Any Degree from a recognised university. SC/ST candidates must have passed Intermediate and appeared for 1st and 2nd year exams (if a degree is not yet obtained). SI (Communications) Diploma/B.Tech in ECE, EEE, Computer Engineering, IT, or a Special Diploma in Electronics (Computer/Communication), or a 3-year B.Sc. Electronics SI (PTO) Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Automobile Engineering Scientific Assistant (Physical) M.Sc. (I or II Division) with Physics, or Forensic Science with Physics as a special subject Scientific Assistant (Chemical) M.Sc. (I or II Division) with Chemistry or Bio-Chemistry, or Forensic Science with Chemistry/Toxicology Scientific Assistant (Biology/Serology) M.Sc. The State Level Police Recruitment Board (SLPRB), Andhra Pradesh, Mangalagiri, has released six separate recruitment notifications on 16.09.2026, inviting online applications for 2,050 posts across the Andhra Pradesh Police Department, State Disaster Response and Fire Services Department, and Prisons and Correctional Services Department. The posts include Stipendiary Cadet Trainee (SCT) Sub Inspectors, Reserve Sub Inspectors, Police Constables, Firemen, Warders, and Scientific Assistants (Forensic Science Laboratory).

Eligibility

Pay and allowances

Selected candidates receive a stipend during the period of institutional training, as fixed by the Government. On successful completion of training, they are appointed to the regular time scale of pay. Selection process

  1. Preliminary Written Test: Two objective papers of 100 marks each - Arithmetic & Reasoning (SSC standard) and General Studies (Degree standard). Marks are not counted towards final selection; it is a qualifying/shortlisting stage only.
  2. Physical Measurements Test (PMT): Minimum height of 167.6 cm (men) and 152.5 cm (women), with relaxed standards for Aboriginal Scheduled Tribe candidates from notified agency areas.
  3. Physical Efficiency Test (PET): 1600m run, 100m run, and long jump. Qualifying in nature for SI (Civil) and PC (Civil) posts; carries 100 marks for AR and SPF posts.
  4. Final Written Examination: Four papers of 3 hours each. Paper I (English) and Paper II (Telugu/Urdu) are qualifying only; Papers III and IV count towards the merit list.
  5. No Preliminary Written Test for these technical posts.
  6. Candidates proceed directly to Certificate Verification and PMT, followed by a qualifying 1600m run (PET).
  7. Written Examination: Three papers - English (100 marks, qualifying), Arithmetic & Reasoning (100 marks), and a Technical Paper (200 marks). Final merit is based on Papers II and III, totalling 300 marks.
  8. No preliminary test.
  9. Selection is through PMT, a qualifying 1600m run, and a single objective Technical Paper of 200 marks that decides final merit.
  10. No preliminary test.

  12. Mechanics candidates must clear a Trade Test, and Drivers candidates a Driving Test - each carries 100 marks with a minimum of 50 marks required to qualify; both tests are qualifying in nature only.

  15. Selection is through a single objective written examination of 120 questions for 120 marks (2 hours, English only), followed by Certificate Verification.
