The Airports Authority of India (AAI) Recruitment 2026 for posts of 39 Consultant. The online application opens on 17-09-2026, along with closes on 01-10-2026. The candidate shall send in online through AAI website, aai.aero.

AAI SSCO Consultant Engagement 2026 Remuneration & Allowances

As per DoPT OM F. 3-25/2020-E.IIIA dated 09.12.2020, a fixed monthly remuneration is admissible, arrived at by deducting the basic pension from the pay drawn at the time of retirement. No. This fixed amount remains unchanged for the entire term of the contract – there is no annual increment or percentage increase during the contract period.

Allowances (per DoPT OM dated 09.12.2020)

HRA: Not admissible.
Transport Allowance: A fixed amount for commuting between residence in addition to place of work, not exceeding the rate applicable to the appointee at the time of retirement; this amount additionally remains unchanged during the appointment. TA/DA on authorized tour, if any, is admissible in line with the consultant’s entitlement at the time of retirement.
TDS will be deducted at source from the remuneration.

AAI SSCO Consultant Engagement 2026 Selection Process

There is no written examination. Only test-takers who fulfil the criteria criteria along with are shortlisted will be called for Application Verification followed by an Interview .
The conducting body has announced that, Final selection is based on merit ranking of the interview alone.
The schedule for verification/interview will be intimated to shortlisted aspirants only on their registered email ID.
No TA/DA will be paid for attending the application verification/interview, for joining the assignment, on its completion, or at any point during the engagement process.
Mere submission of an application, or meeting the requirements criteria, does not entitle a candidate to be called for interview/selection.
According to the latest notice, Prior to commencement of the contract, AAI may require the chosen consultant to submit a Medical Fitness Certificate (equivalent to defence medical standards) from a recognized physician, duly certified by the ATS In-Charge of the Joint User Defence Airfield where deployment is likely.

How to Apply for AAI SSCO Consultant Engagement 2026

obtain as well as fill the Online form in the prescribed format (Annexure-1 to the Advertisement).
Attach self-attested copies of all necessary supporting documents, proof of Educational Qualification in addition to Work Experience.
Combine the duly filled application along with all supporting documents into a single PDF file not exceeding 5 MB .
Email the combined PDF to [email protected] on or before 1 October 2026 .

Documents Required

Duly filled Registration form (Annexure-1), including: name, date of birth, age as on 01.10.2026, father’s name, gender, service branch (Army/Navy/Air Force/Coast Guard), date of joining in addition to date of discharge from the Armed Forces, permanent along with correspondence addresses, mobile number in addition to email ID
Details of Educational/Professional Qualification – exam/qualification, university/college, month & year of passing, percentage of marks
Details of Work Experience – organization/department, designation with level, period (from-to), total experience, nature of work (attach a separate sheet if required)
According to the latest notice, Self-attested copies of all supporting documents substantiating educational qualification as well as work experience claims
A recent photograph, in addition to the candidate’s signature with the declaration on the online form

Period of Engagement

Initial engagement is for 1 year only, extendable by 1 more year at a time; the total cumulative period cannot exceed 5 years, as well as no extension can take the consultant beyond 55 years of age.
The engagement is full-time; consultants will not be permitted to take up any other assignment during the engagement period.
A formal Contract/Agreement specifying the terms as well as conditions will be drawn up between the chosen consultant along with AAI.

Charter of Duties

Consultants will assist along with support Air Traffic Control (ATC) operations at the concerned Joint User Defence Airfield, including ATC/SMC operations, watch extension, in addition to other ATC-related activities as assigned by the ATS In-Charge.

Leave Provisions

Interested applicants should know that, Leave is allowed at 1.5 days for each completed month of service.
Consultants must mark attendance daily at their place of reporting/engagement.
Interested applicants should know that, Unavailed leave in a calendar year is neither carried forward nor encashed into the next year.
Absence beyond admissible leave along with notified holidays results in a proportionate deduction from the consultancy remuneration.
AAI may terminate the engagement if the consultant remains absent without intimation to the supervisory authority for more than 3 working days.

Other Conditions

In case of death, injury or illness of the consultant attributable to the performance of services under the contract, AAI shall not be responsible for any compensation.
False or insufficient information, or lack of proof to ascertain requirements , will lead to summary rejection of candidature at any stage, with appropriate action as deemed fit.
According to the latest notice, AAI reserves the right to upgrade the qualification criteria if a large number of applications are received, in addition to to cancel/modify/withdraw/postpone this engagement notice.
AAI may terminate a consultant’s services at any time by giving 1 month’s notice or remuneration/fees in lieu of the notice period, in addition to AAI management’s decision is final. A consultant may similarly seek termination by giving AAI 1 month’s notice or remuneration/fees in lieu.
