AAI Apprentice Recruitment 2026: Airports Authority of India (AAI) has made available a total of 09 posts for Graduate in addition to Diploma Apprentice posts. eligible applicants may submit online till 30 September 2026.

AAI Apprentice Vacancy Details
  • AAI Nagpur Airport has published 9 tentative seats across the following Graduate in addition to Diploma Apprentice disciplines, each with a training duration of one year. test-takers applying for more than one discipline will not be considered, in addition to their application will be rejected.
  • *Note: The notification lists two entries numbered “4” (Graduate Apprentice – Finance along with Diploma Apprentice – Engineering-Civil); the seat count above totals 08 as individually listed against each discipline, though the notification’s overall framing describes 9 posts. All figures are tentative as well as may be reduced or increased in line with the notification.
AAI Apprentice Eligibility Criteria
  • Only aspirants belonging to the state of Maharashtra (Nagpur or the nearby area of Nagpur) are shortlisted to submit . test-takers who have passed their Degree/Diploma on or after 01.04.2022 are shortlisted ; those who have completed more than five years from the date of passing the qualifying examination, as on the date of joining, are not meeting criteria . Students awaiting final year results may as well register , subject to producing the qualifying certificate later.
  • test-takers who have already completed an apprenticeship, terminated one midway, or are currently pursuing one with another organisation or AAI at the same qualification level are not eligible . aspirants with one year or more of training/job experience after attaining the essential qualification are as well not shortlisted .
AAI Apprentice Qualification
  • Degree/Diploma test-takers must possess a full-time regular four-year Degree in Engineering or three-year Diploma in the relevant stream, from an institution recognised by AICTE, Government of India, with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST applicants ). Where CGPA/CGPI/CPI/SGPA is awarded, it is the applicant’s responsibility to convert it to a percentage as stated in the guidelines of the concerned University/Board/AICTE/Institute.
AAI Apprentice Age Limit
  • As on 31.07.2026, test-takers must be a minimum of 18 years as well as a maximum of 26 years of age. Upper age relaxation is available as follows.
  • It is informed that, In case of non-availability of aspirants in reserved categories, the openings will be filled from other reserved categories/General category.
AAI Apprentice Application Fee
  • There is no application fee for AAI Apprentice Recruitment 2026-27.
AAI Apprentice Stipend
  • The monthly stipend is ₹15,000/- for Graduate Apprentices in addition to ₹12,000/- for Diploma Apprentices, structured as follows.
  • The conducting body has announced that, The Government’s share is directly credited to the apprentice’s registered bank account through BOAT.
AAI Apprentice Selection Process
  • Selection for engagement as Apprentice is based on the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying examination.
  • The candidature of the applicant is provisional; final selection is based on Interview/verification of certificates in addition to testimonials, along with submission of a Certificate of Medical Fitness (obtained only from a Gazetted Government Medical Officer/Medical Officer of a Government Undertaking) at the time of joining.
  • A Police Verification Certificate must be obtained from the candidate’s local area of residence.
  • Shortlisted aspirants will be called for interview/document verification through their registered email ID only.
  • Airports Authority of India has no obligation to offer regular employment to Apprentices on completion of the training. However, apprentices who successfully entire one year of Apprenticeship Training in AAI will be exempted from submitting application fees for future direct recruitment in AAI, subject to fulfilling the other requirements in the respective recruitment advertisement.
How to Apply for AAI Apprentice Recruitment 2026-27
  • Register on the BOAT/NATS 2.0 Portal as a student, via nats.education.gov.in/student_type.php or moenats.aicte-india.org/student_register.php .
  • After completing enrollment/registration as Student/Apprentice, submit against the AAI advertisement shown on the dashboard in listing form.
  • After registering on the BOAT web portal, your documents will be verified by BOAT.

Important Instructions
  • Applications without supporting documents, or that are incomplete or do not fulfil the prescribed criteria, will be rejected.
  • According to the latest notice, applicants applying for more than one discipline will not be considered, as well as their application will be rejected.
  • The department has confirmed that, Requests for change in mailing address, category, discipline, qualification, or bank details once declared during registration will not be entertained.
  • The number of test-takers to be engaged is indicative along with may change as per requirement without further notification.
  • During apprenticeship, test-takers will be governed by the Apprentices Act, 1961 (as amended) along with the organisation’s policies/rules.
  • Reservation for SC/ST as well as OBC is applicable as per rules; OBC test-takers must submit a Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) certificate in the prescribed proforma. OBC aspirants falling in the creamy layer are not entitled to OBC reservation benefits along with must submit as “UR”, meeting the UR age criteria.
  • At any stage, if a candidate is found to have furnished false or incorrect information, their candidature/engagement is liable to be cancelled.
  • Apprentices shall undergo training only at the notified Airport/Establishment; no change in place of training will be entertained.
  • The conducting body has announced that, If no application is received from suitable/ meeting criteria test-takers by the deadline, AAI shall take apprentices directly from the NATS 2.0 portal.
