NMMC Medical Officer Recruitment 2026 – Walk in for 56 Posts

Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC), through the Ekatmik Arogya Kutumb Kalyan Society, has invited applications for 56 Medical Officer (MBBS) posts under the National Urban Health Mission (NUHM), funded by the 15th Finance Commission for Urban Health Centres. These are purely contractual, fixed-honorarium positions filled through a direct walk-in interview scheduled for August 5, 2026, at the NMMC Health Department, CBD Belapur, Navi Mumbai.

MBBS degree from a recognized university. | Registration with the Maharashtra Medical Council (or equivalent recognized medical council, as applicable) is mandatory. | The qualification must have been obtained from a university/institution recognized by the Government.

1. Selection for the Medical Officer (MBBS) post is made directly through a walk-in interview; there is no written examination.
2. Candidates must report for registration, document scrutiny, and verification between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM on the interview date, followed by the interview on the same day.
3. Merit lists for Urban Health Centres functioning under the 15th Finance Commission are prepared based on the priority order in which the centres become operational.
4. Eligible candidates from the merit list are called for document verification; appointment orders are issued only after successful verification of original documents.
5. Selected candidates must report for duty at the assigned Urban Health Centre within 7 days of the appointment order; failure to do so, or use of undue influence/pressure tactics, will result in cancellation of selection, and the position will be offered to the next eligible candidate on the waiting list.
