Qualification

A Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc & A.H.) from a university established by law and recognized by the Veterinary Council of India, OR an equivalent degree from a government-recognized institution, OR any other veterinary qualification as defined under Section 2(f) of the Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984 (as amended). | The candidate must be duly registered with the Uttarakhand Veterinary Council. | The date for determining the essential educational qualification will be based solely on the Marksheet Issuing Date or the Result Declaration Date. | A postgraduate degree, diploma, or higher qualification in Veterinary Science (e.g., M.V.Sc in Surgery, Gynecology, Medicine, Pathology, Public Health, etc.), OR | Minimum two years of service in the Territorial Army, OR | 'B' or 'C' certificate of the National Cadet Corps (NCC). | A citizen of India, OR | A Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1 January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, OR | A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, or certain East African countries with the intention of permanently settling in India (subject to an eligibility certificate).

The Uttarakhand Public Service Commission (UKPSC) has released the UKPSC Veterinary Officer Recruitment 2026 notification (Advertisement No. A-2/DR(VO)/S-1/2026) for the post of Veterinary Officer under the Animal Husbandry Department.
