Educational Qualification – Clerk-cum-Data Entry Operator
  • The base qualification (options 1a to 1f) is the same as listed above for Karavasooligar – passing 12th standard / an equivalent NIOS course with Kannada as one language. The computer-training requirement differs:

  • As stated in the Karnataka Civil Services (General Recruitment) Rules, aspirants must have completed 18 years of age. Following Government Order No. CASuE 262 SENE 2025 dated 29.01.2026, in addition to unless directed otherwise by a competent court, the maximum age limit is capped as below:
Zilla Panchayat Shivamogga Selection Process
  • As per the official update, Selection to both posts is on a merit-list basis – there is no written competitive examination mentioned in the notification. Key points:
  • As per the official update, Karavasooligar: Merit rank is based on the percentage of marks scored in the qualifying 12th-standard/equivalent examination (option 1a–1f), with additional weight for a computer-training qualification (2a) where held.
  • The department has confirmed that, Clerk-cum-Data Entry Operator: Merit rank is a combined score – 50% weight from the qualifying academic exam marks in addition to 50% weight from a computer proficiency test conducted by the authority.
  • Only test-takers who are residents of the same Grama Panchayat area where the specific post is vacant are considered.
  • Applications are received by the concerned Grama Panchayat / Panchayat Development Officer; the demand draft (fee) need not be verified at the scrutiny stage however must be produced at the time of final selection.
  • Caste, category, rural as well as Kannada-medium reservation claims are verified against the original certificates before final selection.
How to Apply for Zilla Panchayat Shivamogga Recruitment 2026
  • The conducting body has announced that, Access the authorized portal shivamogga.nic.in as well as obtain the prescribed registration form.
  • Fill the form completely as well as attach self-attested copies of all required certificates (see Documents section below).
  • Prepare a Demand Draft (DD) for the application fee in favour of "Chief Executive Officer, Zilla Panchayat, Shivamogga" .
  • Submit the completed application, along with documents along with the DD, to the concerned Grama Panchayat office (the Panchayat Development Officer of the Grama Panchayat where the post is vacant along with where the candidate resides) between 27 August 2026 along with 25 September 2026.
  • The DD is not verified at the time of application scrutiny yet must be produced at the time of final selection/document verification.
Documents Required

  • The department has confirmed that, Educational qualification mark sheets / certificates matching the qualification claimed as of the application deadline
  • Birth-date proof – SSLC or equivalent examination certificate, School Leaving Certificate, or Transfer Certificate showing date of birth
  • Caste in addition to reservation certificate, in the prescribed Form D / Form E / Form F as applicable, issued by the concerned Tahsildar
  • Residence certificate from the concerned Tahsildar confirming residence within the Grama Panchayat area of the vacant post
  • As per the official update, Rural-reservation certificate (Form-2 as applicable), where claiming rural quota
  • Candidates should note that, Kannada-medium study certificate (Form-2 as applicable), where claiming Kannada-medium quota
  • Disability certificate with UDID / District Medical Board proof, where claiming PwD quota (minimum 40% disability)
  • Discharge certificate, pension/gratuity proof, where claiming ex-servicemen quota
  • As per the official update, Computer training course certificate (Government-recognised, or private-institute certificate endorsed by Government)
Important Conditions
  • Applications are accepted only from residents of the specific Grama Panchayat where the applied post is vacant.
  • As per the official update, Application fee: ₹50 for SC/ST test-takers (proof required, else fee is not refunded) in addition to ₹100 for all other test-takers, payable via Demand Draft in favour of the Chief Executive Officer, Zilla Panchayat, Shivamogga.
  • Rural-quota aspirants must have completed their entire schooling (class 1 to 10) in institutions located within notified rural areas, certified by the concerned Tahsildar along with the school head/institution head, as per Government Order No. SaKaI 59 Shasana 2000 dated 06.01.2001 as well as Notification-2.
  • Kannada-medium quota test-takers must have studied from 1st to 10th standard entirely in Kannada medium in Karnataka schools, as certified per Government Order No. CASuE 71 Shasana 2001 dated 24.10.2002.
  • Certain sub-castes among Hindu communities are included under Category-2A/3A/3B for education in addition to employment purposes as per Government Order No. SaKaI 179 BiSi 2010 dated 16.07.2011; the notification lists these sub-castes in detail (shepherd, weaver, oil-presser, fisherman, potter, toddy-tapper along with related occupational sub-castes, among others) – test-takers should verify their sub-caste against the department notice.
  • Ex-servicemen reservation (10%) is governed by Government Orders DPAR 13 SRR 92 dated 01.04.1992 along with DPAR 28 SRR 95 dated 21.10.1995, under the Karnataka Civil Services (General Recruitment) Rules, 1977; specific requirements conditions for ex-servicemen in addition to their dependents are detailed in the notification.
  • Persons with disability (PwD) reservation applies only to aspirants with 40% or more disability, as per Government Order No. WCD 213 PHP 2023 dated 06.02.2024; a UDID / competent-authority disability certificate must be submitted by the application deadline. Age relaxation does not automatically register to all disability categories – refer to Government Order No. CASuE/115/SENE/2005 dated 19.11.2005 for applicable categories.
  • If original documents on verification do not match the reservation category (caste/rural/Kannada-medium) claimed in the application, the candidate's reservation-category claim will be cancelled as well as they will be considered only under the General merit category, if otherwise eligible .
  • applicants already in Government service, or who have already availed of a Government job/exam opportunity in the past under similar terms, must submit the relevant No-Objection Certificate / prior-employment proof along with the application, where applicable.
  • Furnishing false information or documents in the application will lead to rejection at any stage in addition to may attract legal action.
  • The recruiting authority reserves the right to modify, postpone or cancel the recruitment process, or change the number of posts.
