  • West Bengal Public Service Commission WBCS Examination format 2025: For the WBCS post, the examination will consist of a total 8 (Prelims) in addition to 9 (Mains) of subjects with a maximum score of Prelims : 200, Mains : 200 (Each Paper) marks. Sections included in the exam patterns are English Composition, General Science, Current Events of National & International Importance, History of India, Geography of India (with special reference to West Bengal), Indian Polity as well as Economy, Indian National Movement, General Mental Ability (Prelims) Bengali / Hindi / Urdu / Nepali / Santali, English, General Studies – I, General Studies – II, Constitution of India & Indian Economy, Arithmetic & Test of Reasoning, Optional Subject Paper – I, Optional Subject Paper – II, Personality Test (Mains).
