VMC Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria
- applicants must hold the qualification specified for their chosen trade in the table above.
- The Office Assistant trade (S. No. 18) is open to female test-takers only, with an age limit of 18 to 28 years.
- Age limit for the remaining 17 trades is not specified in this notification.
- Interested applicants should know that, applicants are engaged as trainee apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961; local (Vadodara) applicants are given priority in engagement.
VMC Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Stipend
- Apprentices engaged under the Apprentices Act, 1961, will receive a stipend as stated in the rules prescribed under that Act. Specific stipend amounts for each trade are not stated in this notification.
How to Apply for VMC Apprentice Recruitment 2026
- Applying involves two separate steps, both of which must be completed for the application to be accepted.
- Register as an apprentice on the national Apprenticeship India portal: apprenticeshipindia.gov.in.
- After registering your apprenticeship trade preference on that portal, entire your eKYC update on the same portal.
- After registering the trade preference along with updating eKYC on apprenticeshipindia.gov.in, submit the online application through the VMC website: vmc.gov.in/Recruitment/Recruitment.aspx.
- Interested applicants should know that, Ensure the mobile number along with e-mail address entered in the online form are correct in addition to currently in your own use, as these will be used for all further document-verification communication.

VMC Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Important Instructions
- aspirants engaged under the Apprentices Act, 1961, are covered by its stipend as well as other applicable rules.
- Local (Vadodara) resident applicants will be given priority in the selection/engagement process.
- If a candidate applies for a trade for which they are not shortlisted , along with this is discovered after selection, their apprenticeship will be cancelled.
- For document verification, the mobile number in addition to e-mail address submitted in the application document must be accurate; if the online application was submitted using someone else's mobile number or e-mail address, the candidate bears responsibility for this. VMC is not responsible if a candidate becomes unreachable later due to a change in mobile number or e-mail address.
- All applications as well as certificates will be scrutinised; if a candidate's local-residency proof is found to be false or incorrect, if required certificates are found incorrect, or if fraudulent/false certificates are submitted with the application, that candidature will be cancelled at any stage of the process.
