- According to the latest notice, The UPSC CMS Reserve List is a secondary merit list maintained by the Commission for applicants who ranked just below the last recommended candidate in the main result. - As per Rule 13(4) along with Rule 13(5) of the Combined Medical Services Examination Rules 2025, the Commission maintains a consolidated Reserve List in order of merit below the last recommended candidate in the main result. This list is used to fill any remaining posts as required by the concerned Ministry.
- Candidates should note that, In this case, the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare placed a requisition, in addition to UPSC has now recommended 30 aspirants from the Reserve List (Category II) to fill the remaining posts.

Provisional Candidature - 10 Candidates to Note
- Interested applicants should know that, Out of the 30 recommended test-takers, the candidature of 10 aspirants has been kept provisional by UPSC. This means their appointment offers will be withheld until the Commission verifies their original documents.

- The following roll numbers have been marked as provisional in the departmental UPSC CMS 2025 Reserve List notification. These aspirants must submit the required original documents within the specified timeframe.

- applicants with provisional status will not receive an offer of appointment until UPSC verifies their original documents. The provisionality period is valid for six months from the date of declaration of the Reserve List (i.e., June 25, 2026).
