  • As per the official update, aspirants are advised not to wait until the closing date along with to submit the online application well in advance to avoid last-minute technical issues.
TGPSC Seed Certification Officer Vacancy Details
  • The department has confirmed that, A total of 19 positions have been notified for the post of Seed Certification Officer, State Level cadre, under the Telangana Seed & Organic Certification Authority.
Category-wise Vacancy Break-up

Eligibility Criteria for TGPSC Seed Certification Officer
  • The applicant must be a citizen of India.
  • The applicant's character as well as antecedents must qualify him/her for government service.
  • The applicant must possess the academic as well as other qualifications prescribed for the post as on the date of notification, i.e., 02/07/2026.
Educational Qualification
  • Degrees obtained through Open Universities or Distance Education mode must be recognized by the UGC, AICTE, or Distance Education Bureau, as applicable. The result of the qualifying examination must have been officially declared by the university as on the notification date; mere conduct of the exam or pending result processing does not fulfil the qualification requirement.
Age Limit
  • Age is reckoned as on 01/07/2026.
  • As per G.O.Ms.No.86, G.A.(Ser.A) Department, dated 18/05/2026, the upper age limit has been raised by 10 years, i.e., from 34 to 44 years, for this post.
Age Relaxation
  • The department has confirmed that, SC / ST / BC / EWS applicants : 5 years relaxation
  • Physically Handicapped (PH) test-takers: 10 years relaxation
  • As per the official update, Telangana State Government Employees: Up to 5 years, based on length of regular service
  • Ex-Servicemen: 3 years plus length of service in armed forces
  • NCC Instructors: 3 years plus length of NCC service
  • No candidate is meeting criteria if he/she is below 18 years or has crossed the superannuation age of 61 years, even after availing applicable age relaxations.
Salary / Pay Scale
  • Picked test-takers for the post of Seed Certification Officer will draw a pay scale of Rs. 51,320 – Rs. 1,27,310/- per month, as per Telangana State Government pay rules.
Application Fee
  • Candidates should note that, All unemployed applicants are exempted from paying the examination fee.
  • Employees of any Central/State Government, PSU, Corporation, or other government sector must pay the examination fee.
  • Interested applicants should know that, Fee must be paid online via Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card, or UPI.
  • As per the official update, Fee once remitted is non-refundable as well as non-adjustable under any circumstances.
Selection Process
  • Selection to the post of Seed Certification Officer is made purely on the basis of marks secured in a single Objective Type written examination, conducted either in OMR-based offline mode or Computer Based Recruitment Test (CBRT) mode.
  • Paper I is bilingual (English in addition to Telugu), while Paper II is in English only. Paper II covers General Agriculture, Agronomy, Plant Breeding, Seed Science & Technology, along with Plant Physiology at postgraduate level.
Qualifying Marks
  • OC, Sportspersons & EWS: not less than 40%
  • The official notification states that, BCs: not less than 35%
  • SC, ST & PH: not less than 30%
  • Scores from multi-session CBRT exams are normalized using TGPSC's standard normalization formula, as well as the final merit list is prepared based on normalized marks calculated up to 5 decimal places.

  • The examination will be conducted at Hyderabad (including HMDA jurisdiction), Karimnagar, Khammam, Warangal, as well as Nizamabad.

How to Apply for TGPSC Seed Certification Officer Recruitment 2026
  • Access the government TGPSC website at tgpsc.gov.in.
  • New applicants must detailed One Time Registration (OTR) to obtain a TGPSC ID; already registered applicants can log in directly using their existing TGPSC ID.
  • Log in with your TGPSC ID in addition to Date of Birth, in addition to verify using the OTP sent to your registered mobile number.
  • Verify the pre-filled details fetched from the OTR database, such as name, date of birth, qualifications, community, gender, in addition to disability status.
  • Select your preferred examination centre.
  • Preview the application for correctness, then click SAVE & PAYMENT to proceed to fee payment.
  • As per the official update, Pay the applicable fee through Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card, or UPI.

  • Furnishing false information or suppressing material facts can lead to debarment from future TGPSC examinations along with rejection of candidature at any stage.
  • The official notification states that, There is no waiting list; unfilled openings will be carried forward to the next recruitment as per applicable government orders.
