- The conducting body has announced that, Master's degree from a recognized University in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject, or as the medium of examination at degree level; OR
- Master's degree from a recognized University in English with Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject, or as the medium of examination at degree level; OR
- Interested applicants should know that, Master's degree in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi as medium in addition to English as a compulsory/elective subject at degree level; OR
- The department has confirmed that, Master's degree in any subject other than Hindi or English, with English as medium as well as Hindi as a compulsory/elective subject at degree level; OR
- Candidates should note that, Master's degree in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi along with English as compulsory/elective subjects or either as medium of examination in addition to the other as a compulsory/elective subject at degree level.
- Aspirants are advised that, IN ADDITION TO , in addition to the above, aspirants must additionally possess:
- A recognized Diploma or Certificate Course in translation from Hindi to English as well as vice-versa, OR
- Two years' experience of translation work from Hindi to English along with vice-versa in a Central Government or State Government office, including a Government of India Undertaking.

STPI Junior Hindi Translator 2026 Salary Structure
- The post of Junior Hindi Translator carries Pay Matrix Level 6 (Rs. 35,400 - 112,400) in line with the 7th Central Pay Commission. The appointment will initially be on probation for a period of two years, which may be regularized, extended, or terminated based on performance during the probation period.
STPI Recruitment 2026 Application Fee

STPI Junior Hindi Translator Recruitment 2026 Selection Process
- The official notification states that, Selection for the JHT post will be based on a written examination consisting of two papers:
- Paper-I consists of objective-type multiple-choice questions testing understanding of Hindi in addition to English language along with literature, correct usage of words, phrases, in addition to idioms.
- There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in Paper-I.
- Based on marks scored in Paper-I, test-takers will be shortlisted category-wise for Paper-II.

Final Merit / Weightage
