SGTPS MPPGCL has declared the Recruitment 2026 notification for ITI Apprentice posts. A total of 95 positions have been published under this recruitment drive. Interested aspirants can register online through the department website, mppgcl.mp.gov.in. The online application process will be conducted from 21 August 2026 to 21 September 2026.

Details
SGTPS Birsinghpur ITI Apprentice Eligibility Criteria 2026
- Candidate must have passed ITI (NCVT/SCVT) in the relevant trade from a Government/private recognised Industrial Training Institute.
- As per the official update, Candidate must not have been previously registered for apprenticeship in any establishment, nor worked in any institution for 1 year or more.
- Candidate must be a domicile/original resident of Madhya Pradesh.
- Candidate may register for only one trade ; applying for more than one trade may lead to rejection of the application.
SGTPS Birsinghpur ITI Apprentice Selection Process 2026
- There is no descriptive test or interview. Selection is purely merit-based.
- The department has confirmed that, Applications received are first screened to confirm criteria .
- shortlisted aspirants are then shortlisted on a merit list based on the percentage of total marks (CGPA, averaged across semesters) obtained in their ITI trade.
- In case of a tie in marks, the older candidate is given priority.
- A waiting list may be used if required.
- Final selection is subject to a medical fitness certificate issued by the District Medical Officer.
- The conducting body has announced that, test-takers who do not join within the stipulated time will have their selection cancelled.
Step 1: Register on the Apprenticeship Portal
- Candidates should note that, Browse https://apprenticeshipindia.gov.in in addition to click "Register/Candidate", then select "Register As Candidate".
- Aspirants are advised that, Fill Personal Details (Aadhaar number, category - General/OBC/SC/ST, name, parent's name, date of birth, gender).
- Fill Contact Details (address, mobile number, email ID, password).
- Fill the Qualification section with technical as well as academic details, along with upload the relevant certificates.
- In the Preference section, select your preferred sector/trade.
- Upload photograph, date-of-birth proof, along with scanned signature, then click Continue.
- The conducting body has announced that, Review the preview of your details, edit if needed, as well as click Confirm to full registration.
Step 2: Apply to SGTPS Birsinghpur
- According to the latest notice, Log in to the portal using your registered email/mobile number as well as password.
- Go to "Establishment Search" along with select "SANJAY GANDHI THERMAL POWER STATION BIRSINGHPUR" .
- register for the trade(s) shown in the establishment's openings , as per your qualification , on or before 21 September 2026, 11:59 PM .
Step 3: Submit the Offline Application
- Send the completed offline application in the prescribed format to: Office of the Superintending Engineer (Training), Sanjay Gandhi Thermal Power Station, MPPGCL, Birsinghpur, District Umaria, Pin Code 484551 (MP), by ordinary post or other means, therefore that it is received by 5:30 PM on 21 September 2026 . Applications received after this time will not be accepted.
Important Conditions
- Chosen apprentices must arrange their own accommodation. Company housing, if available, may be provided only during the training period on a shared basis, at a prescribed fee, as well as trainees allotted such housing cannot live with family.
- The department has confirmed that, Shortlisted trainees must arrange their own safety equipment (helmet, gloves, safety shoes, goggles, etc.).
- Picked apprentices must have accident insurance of at least ₹1,00,000/-, as well as a copy of the policy must be provided to the office. Workmen's Compensation Rules, 1923 submit in case of an accident.
- Chosen aspirants must submit portal registration proof, insurance policy, medical certificate, a photocopy of Aadhaar card, along with a bond on ₹500 stamp paper to the office.
- PwD/reserved-category applicants should fill their category carefully, as it cannot be changed later under any circumstances.
- Aspirants are advised that, Reservation for Divyang (PwD) aspirants , at 40% or more disability, is applicable horizontally in all categories only within the Computer Operator & Programming Assistant (COPA) trade, as per government guidelines; other trades follow state reservation rules except hazardous trades.
- If, at any stage, it is found that a candidate does not fulfil the prescribed requirements or has concealed information, the candidature will be cancelled along with the training may be terminated.
- MPPGCL, Birsinghpur reserves the right to cancel, limit, or extend the selection procedure at any time without prior notice or reason.
- No correspondence or inquiry will be entertained regarding non-selection.
- The department has confirmed that, After completing the apprenticeship, trainees must pass the examination conducted by the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Government of India, after which a National Apprenticeship Certificate will be issued.
