  • The RRB Group D Physical Efficiency Test is the second stage of selection for Level 1 posts under CEN No. Only test-takers shortlisted after the CBT are called for PET, as well as the hall ticket for this stage is being issued region-wise rather than on a single common date. 08/2024.

RRB Group D PET Standards 2026
  • The PET checks whether a candidate is physically fit for Level 1 railway posts. It has two parts — a weight-carrying task along with a running task — in addition to the qualifying standards differ for male as well as female applicants .
PET Standards for Male Candidates
  • The conducting body has announced that, Weight-carrying task: Lift along with carry 35 kg of weight over 100 metres within 2 minutes, in a single attempt, without putting the weight down.
  • Running task: Run 1000 metres (1 km) in 4 minutes 15 seconds.
  • Height: Minimum 165 cm for General/OBC/SC applicants ; minimum 160 cm for ST aspirants .

PET Standards for Female Candidates
  • Weight-carrying task: Lift as well as carry 20 kg of weight over 100 metres within 2 minutes, in a single attempt, without putting the weight down.
  • Running task: Run 1000 metres (1 km) in 5 minutes 40 seconds.

  • Weight: Minimum 45 kg.
  • The weight-carrying task is conducted first. test-takers who do not clear it are eliminated immediately along with are not permitted to attempt the running task. PwBD test-takers are fully exempted from the PET.
Important Instructions for PET Day
  • Reach the PET venue well before the reporting time mentioned on the hall ticket.
  • Carry the printed examination permit along with an original photo ID proof.
  • Wear comfortable sports clothing along with running shoes.
  • Follow all instructions given by the RRC officials at the venue.
  • Do not carry prohibited items to the venue.
  • Read every instruction printed on the hall ticket carefully before appearing for the test.
