MPPSC Assistant Professor Sociology Marks List (Obtained Marks)
  • The obtained marks list shows the written examination marks (out of 800), interview marks (out of 100), in addition to total marks (out of 900) for applicants included in the main selection list. A sample of the marks published is listed here:
  • This is a partial sample for reference. The detailed marks list (77 test-takers) with roll number-wise written, interview in addition to total marks is available only in the departmental PDF published by MPPSC.
Selection Process
  • The final selection is based on the total marks obtained in the written examination in addition to interview combined (900 marks). Where more than one candidate obtains equal total marks, the Commission applies the following tie-break rules, in order:
  • The department has confirmed that, Candidate with a higher combined total of written examination along with interview marks is ranked first.
  • If the total marks are still equal, the candidate with higher marks in the written examination alone is ranked higher.
  • Candidates should note that, If the written examination marks are additionally equal, the candidate with a higher age is given preference.
Important Notes
  • This result covers only the 87% main portion of the advertised posts. The result for the remaining 13% provisional portion (relating to OBC reservation) will be declared separately after the final judicial decision in the related pending court matter.
  • The conducting body has announced that, No representations or objections regarding the provisional portion will be considered until the final court decision; any such representations received will be rejected.
  • As per General Administration Department circular dated 10.02.1997, posts reserved for women may be filled by male applicants of the respective category if a sufficient number of eligible women aspirants are not available.
  • The declared result is subject to the final outcome of pending cases before the Supreme Court (SLP No. 8764/2023 along with SLP No. 12398/2023) along with the High Court (WP No. 5901/2019, WP No. 5596/2024) in addition to other similar petitions.
  • The result of test-takers involved in ongoing court cases has been kept on hold, pending the final court decision.
  • qualification for guest faculty reservation in addition to applicable age relaxation has been verified by a departmental committee nominated by the Higher Education Department.
  • Aspirants are advised that, If any computer or clerical error is noticed by the Commission after publication of the result, the Commission reserves the right to correct the result.
