Details

How the Interview Shortlist Was Prepared
  • Following a Madhya Pradesh High Court interim order relating to Other Backward Class reservation, the Commission has declared the result for the Assistant Professor (Geography) posts in two parts:
  • Main Part: 87% of the advertised posts (14% OBC posts included)
  • Provisional Part: 13% of the advertised posts (OBC in addition to unreserved category)
  • Candidates should note that, For the Assistant Professor (Geography) post specifically, out of 20 advertised positions, 10 fall under the Main Part along with 10 fall under the Provisional Part.
  • aspirants were shortlisted for interview at 3 times the number of advertised posts, plus all test-takers scoring equal marks to the last shortlisted candidate:
  • Part A (Main): 268 applicants shortlisted for interview
  • Part B (Provisional): 74 test-takers shortlisted for interview
  • The official notification states that, The full roll-number-wise lists for both Part A along with Part B are published in the department notice. applicants should review their roll number directly in the departmental PDF on the MPPSC website, as this article does not reproduce the detailed list.
  • The department has confirmed that, Reserved-category test-takers whose marks are equal to or higher than the cut-off of the unreserved category have been shortlisted under the unreserved category in both the Main along with Provisional parts, as per applicable rules.
Documents Required for Interview
  • The conducting body has announced that, Shortlisted applicants must send self-attested/original copies of the following documents to the Commission office, arranged according to the prescribed Annexure Format-01:
  • Brief information sheet for interview aspirants (Pattrak-5)
  • Copy of the online online form submitted for this exam
  • According to the latest notice, Copy of the exam entry pass
  • As per the official update, Attendance sheet (Pattrak-1)
  • Aspirants are advised that, Personal detail form (Pattrak-2)
  • Anupramanan (verification) Form-3
  • Declaration that the candidate has not been debarred from any selection/exam
  • High School as well as Higher Secondary mark sheets
  • Aspirants are advised that, Mark sheets in addition to degree certificates for all qualifying years related to requirements
  • UGC-NET / State criteria Test (SET) / Ph.D. qualifying certificate
  • Teaching experience certificate, for applicants claiming guest faculty experience
  • As per the official update, Madhya Pradesh domicile certificate along with live registration certificate from the Employment Office (for MP-domicile test-takers)
  • According to the latest notice, Caste certificate issued by a competent authority, where applicable, for reserved category
  • The conducting body has announced that, Creamy layer declaration for OBC applicants , where applicable
  • It is informed that, EWS certificate valid for financial year 2026–2027, where applicable
  • Affidavit for surname/name change after marriage, for female applicants where applicable
  • No Objection Certificate from the employer, for test-takers already in government service
  • Disability certificate, for PH category test-takers
  • Candidate's own valid photo identity proof
  • Mandatory undertaking (Abhivachan Patra) confirming acceptance of remaining in either the Main Part or the Provisional Part, with no claim to interchange between the two at any selection stage
How and Where to Submit Documents
  • test-takers must send their documents by post or in person therefore that they reach the Commission office on or before 09 October 2026, at the following address:

Important Instructions
  • The official notification states that, The entire shortlist is provisional. If a shortlisted candidate is found not to fulfil the notified rules in addition to conditions, their criteria for interview will automatically stand cancelled.
  • The interview date for the Assistant Professor (Geography) Exam 2025 will be declared separately by the Commission.
  • Final selection remains subject to the final judgment in pending court cases, including SLP No. 8764/2023 along with SLP No. 12398/2023 before the Supreme Court, along with WP-5901/2019 as well as WP-5596/2024 before the Madhya Pradesh High Court.
  • If any candidate is found to have submitted incorrect, incomplete, or false information in the online application, their candidature can be cancelled at any stage of the recruitment process.
  • Candidates should note that, applicants who fail to submit their documents by the due date will be presumed to have opted out of the interview process, along with their candidature will be cancelled in line with the Commission's rules.
  • The Commission reserves the right to correct any technical or clerical error found in the published shortlist after its release.
  • Aspirants are advised that, The interview shortlist is available in provisional form on the authorized MPPSC website: www.mppsc.mp.gov.in.
