- Volunteers will be deployed under 'Wages', Highly Skilled Category, at the rate prescribed by the Department of Labour, Employment & Skill Development, Govt. of Meghalaya, from time to time, including the Risk Allowance prescribed by the State Government, paid as monthly Honoraria.
- The deployment period is for 1 (one) year, which may be extended based on the volunteer's performance in the assigned task.
- The conducting body has announced that, The deployment is purely temporary in addition to voluntary; no volunteer can claim regularization or permanent retention.
- Deployed volunteers can be dismissed or terminated at any time without assigning any reason.
- Chosen/successful volunteers must serve anywhere in the remote border areas of Khasi, Jaintia & Garo Hills bordering Bangladesh.
- Interested applicants should know that, Specific wage/honorarium figures are not stated in this notice along with are determined by the Department of Labour, Employment & Skill Development, Govt. of Meghalaya, from time to time.

- The application, filed in the Standard Form, must be submitted along with attested copies of the following certificates/documents:
- 2 (two) copies of a recent passport-size photograph, one of which is to be pasted on the Standard Form

Meghalaya Home Guards Recruitment 2026 Selection Process
- The Personal Interview of shortlisted Home Guards Volunteers will be conducted at Tura along with Shillong centres.
- No separate intimation regarding interviews will be sent. It is the responsibility of applicants /volunteers to confirm the picked list in addition to appear for the interview on the dates notified on the Departmental Notice Boards in addition to the department website (www.meghomeguards.gov.in).
