Meghalaya Secretariat (Nazarat) Vacancy 2026 – Post-Wise Details
  • The 153 posts are split between "Unfilled posts " carried forward from an earlier round (advertised vide No.SAN.66/2019/6 dated 9 February 2022, under Para 2 of Resolution No.PER.222/71/138 dated 12.01.1972) as well as fresh openings notified now. Category codes used below are as given in the notification: UR (Unreserved), KJ (Khasi-Jaintia), Garo, along with OSTs/SCs.

  • Applications are invited only from Indian citizens as defined in Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution.
Meghalaya Secretariat (Nazarat) Age Limit
  • It is informed that, applicants should not be more than 32 years of age in addition to not less than 18 years of age, as on 1 January 2026 .
  • The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for Scheduled Tribes/Scheduled Castes test-takers. The upper age limit for PWD test-takers is as per Office Memorandum No.PER(AR)150/88/560 dated 18.01.2023. Date of birth is accepted only as per a certificate issued by the Municipal Board/Department of Health & Family Welfare/School Certificate/H.S.L.C. Hall ticket; no other proof of age is accepted.

Meghalaya Secretariat (Nazarat) Application Fee
  • Fee can be paid through: (a) Debit-cum-ATM Card/Credit Card/Net Banking; (b) UPI; or (c) E-Challan (cash payment) at any branch of the State Bank of India. For cash payment, aspirants must select payment across the bank counter, fill in the required details to generate an e-challan, as well as pay at any SBI branch; the e-challan itself does not need to be submitted separately. An additional amount may send in as the bank's commission.
Meghalaya Secretariat (Nazarat) Selection Process
  • The conducting body has announced that, Selection is made by the Departmental Selection Committee, in addition to aspirants must appear for a written examination at their own expense. There is no interview, in line with Office Memorandum No.PER(AR)58/2024/36 dated Shillong, 29 July 2025.
