Kerala Pareeksha Bhavan has declared the notification for the September 2026 Kerala Teacher qualification Test (K-TET). Online registration begins on 23 September, in addition to the exams will be held on 14 as well as 15 November.

Details
KTET Category 1
- applicants should possess the prescribed Higher Secondary or equivalent qualification with the required marks along with a teacher-training qualification such as:
- Two-year Diploma in Elementary Education
- Four-year Bachelor of Elementary Education
- Two-year Diploma in Education or Special Education, where applicable
KTET Category 2
- test-takers should possess a Bachelor’s degree with the required teacher-training qualification. Depending on the applicable requirements route, accepted qualifications include:
- Bachelor’s degree with B.Ed.
- Higher Secondary with four-year B.El.Ed.
- Higher Secondary with four-year BA.Ed. or B.Sc.Ed.
- Other equivalent qualifications recognized under the applicable NCTE along with Kerala Government rules
KTET Category 3
- aspirants should possess the prescribed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in the relevant subject along with B.Ed., MSc.Ed. or another recognized teacher-training qualification applicable to High School teaching.
KTET Category 4
- As per the official update, Category 4 is intended for language teachers, specialist teachers along with Physical Education teachers. aspirants must possess the qualification prescribed for the relevant teaching post under Kerala Education Department rules.
- Applicants should review the category-wise qualification in addition to equivalency conditions in the authorized announcement before submitting the application.
Application Fee
- The examination fee must be paid online using the payment options provided on the application portal, including net banking, credit card or debit card.
KTET Exam Pattern
- Candidates should note that, Each KTET category contains 150 multiple-choice questions for 150 marks. The category-wise syllabus in addition to distribution of questions vary according to the teaching level.
How to Apply for KTET September 2026
- Go to the departmental KTET website at ktet.kerala.gov.in .
- Open the KTET September 2026 online application link.
- Select “New Registration.”
- Read the application instructions carefully.
- Aspirants are advised that, Enter the required personal, educational as well as category details.
- Aspirants are advised that, Select the KTET category or categories for which you are eligible .
- Upload the prescribed photograph in addition to other required files.
- confirm all entered information before confirming the application.
- Pay the examination fee through the available online payment option.
- Entire the final submission by 3 October 2026.

Photograph Requirements
- The photograph must be recent as well as clear.

KTET Hall Ticket 2026
- The KTET September 2026 hall ticket will be available from 4 November 2026. aspirants must obtain it from the authorized KTET website using their application credentials.
- The hall ticket will contain the examination centre, reporting time in addition to candidate-specific instructions. A printed hall ticket must be carried to the examination centre.
