JMI Teaching Vacancy 2026
  • One Assistant Professor post in Machine Design/Production Design is reserved for the Multiple Disabilities category. One Assistant Professor post in Mathematics is reserved for the Orthopaedically Handicapped category.
Professor - Engineering Departments
  • Ph.D. in the relevant field.
  • First class or equivalent at either the Bachelor's or Master's degree level in the relevant branch.
  • Interested applicants should know that, Minimum 10 years of teaching, research or industry experience.
  • The official notification states that, At least three years of experience in a position equivalent to Associate Professor.
  • Required research publications in addition to Ph.D. guidance experience as specified in the notification.
Professor - Environmental Science
  • Ph.D. in Environmental Studies, Environmental Science, Environmental Science in addition to Management, Engineering or a relevant discipline.
  • Minimum 10 research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals.
  • Total research score of 120.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant teaching or research experience with successful doctoral guidance.
Associate Professor - Engineering Departments
  • Ph.D. in the relevant field.
  • First class or equivalent at either the Bachelor's or Master's level.
  • At least six research publications in SCI, UGC or AICTE-approved journals.
  • Candidates should note that, Minimum eight years of teaching, research or industry experience.
  • At least two years of post-Ph.D. experience.
Associate Professor - Chemistry
  • The department has confirmed that, Ph.D. in the concerned, allied or relevant discipline.
  • Master's degree with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade.
  • Interested applicants should know that, Minimum eight years of teaching or research experience.
  • At least seven publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals.
  • Candidates should note that, Total research score of 75.
Assistant Professor - Engineering Departments
  • aspirants must possess B.E., B.Tech. in the relevant branch, with first class or an equivalent grade in at least one of the degrees. or Integrated M.Tech. in addition to M.E., M.Tech., M.S. or B.S.
Assistant Professor - Chemistry, Mathematics or Physics
  • Master's degree with at least 55% marks in the relevant or allied subject.
  • NET conducted by UGC or CSIR, or another UGC-accredited test such as SLET or SET.
  • aspirants possessing an eligible Ph.D. may receive exemption from NET, SLET or SET according to UGC regulations.
Assistant Professor - General Environmental Science
  • M.Tech. in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science in addition to Management, Environmental Science along with Engineering or a relevant discipline with at least 55% marks.
  • NET, SLET or SET qualification, unless exempted under the applicable Ph.D. regulations.
Principal - University Polytechnic
  • test-takers must possess a Ph.D. in addition to first class at either the Bachelor's or Master's level with at least 16 years of teaching, research or industry experience. Alternatively, aspirants with first class at the Bachelor's or Master's level along with at least 20 years of experience may register , subject to the experience conditions in the notification.
Head of Section - Civil Engineering
  • applicants must possess a Ph.D. with first class at the Bachelor's or Master's level in addition to at least 12 years of relevant experience. Alternatively, a Bachelor's as well as Master's degree in the relevant discipline with at least 15 years of experience is accepted, subject to the conditions stated in the advertisement.
