IRFC Assistant Syllabus 2026
- IRFC Assistant Syllabus 2026 is now officially available following the release of the notification by Indian Railway Finance Corporation (IRFC). The Computer Based Test (CBT) consists of two parts – Part A (General Aptitude & IRFC Knowledge – 50 marks) along with Part B (Professional Knowledge – 50 marks). The exam will be conducted in June 2026 for the Assistant (NE-5) post. This article provides the detailed IRFC Assistant Examination format 2026, detailed subject-wise syllabus for Part A in addition to Part B, recruitment process, in addition to qualifying marks to help commerce graduates prepare effectively.
IRFC Assistant Exam Pattern 2026
- Interested applicants should know that, The IRFC Assistant Test structure 2026 consists of a single-stage Computer Based Test with 100 objective-type questions for 100 marks. The paper is divided into two parts:
Part B (Professional Knowledge)
- Total Duration: 90 Minutes Language: English & Hindi (English version prevails in case of discrepancy) Negative Marking: 1/4th mark deducted for each wrong answer.

- Aspirants are advised that, 1. Mathematics/Numerical Ability Simplification & Approximation, Number Series, Percentage, Profit as well as Loss, Ratio & Proportion, Time as well as Work, Time, Speed as well as Distance, Data Interpretation, Average, Interest, Mensuration, etc.
- 2. General Awareness Current Affairs (National & International), Static GK, Indian Economy, Government Schemes, Banking & Insurance Awareness, Sports, Awards, crucial Days, Books & Authors.
- Candidates should note that, 3. Logical Reasoning/General Intelligence Coding-Decoding, Blood Relations, Direction Sense, Puzzles & Seating Arrangement, Syllogism, Data Sufficiency, Inequality, Alphanumeric Series, Input-Output, Statement & Assumptions.
- According to the latest notice, 4. Knowledge about Railways/IRFC Structure along with Organisation of Indian Railways, Functions along with Role of IRFC, Recent Developments in Railways, Railway Budget, Major Projects, IRFC Financial Performance, MoU with Railways, etc.
IRFC Assistant Syllabus 2026: Part B (Professional Knowledge)
- For Assistant (NE-5) post, Part B covers the following topics: Corporate Accounting, Income Tax Laws in addition to Practice, Indirect Tax Laws, Corporate Laws, Cost Accounting, Computer Application in Business, Management Principles in addition to Applications, Fundamentals of Financial Management, Auditing in addition to Corporate Governance, Financial Reporting in addition to Analysis, Project Management, E-Filing of Returns, Banking as well as Insurance, etc.
