Indian Army TGC-144 Recruitment 2026 - Vacancy Details
  • A total of 30 posts (tentative) have been declared for the 144th Technical Graduate Course (TGC-144) commencing January 2027. These posts are subject to change or re-appropriation depending on organizational requirements. openings are distributed across notified Engineering streams. Recommended test-takers of TGC-144 whose merit is not within the allotted posts of their respective Engineering streams may be offered Short Service Commission (Tech) Course (Apr 2027), subject to meeting all criteria conditions in addition to availability of unutilised posts .
  • Note: Only the Engineering streams strictly as notified in the authorized announcement (Para 3) will be accepted. Any variation between the nomenclature of engineering stream as given on the degree parchment/marksheet along with that submitted in the online application will result in cancellation of candidature. test-takers with graduation from foreign countries are not permitted to submit .
Indian Army TGC-144 Recruitment 2026 - Eligibility Criteria
  • applicants must fulfill all qualification conditions as on the closing date of online application (11-06-2026). Only unmarried male Engineering Graduates are eligible to register . The educational qualification must be from a University/Institution recognized under an Act of Central or State Legislature in India, or educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed/Autonomous Universities under UGC Act 1956, IIT Act 1961, AICTE Act 1987, NITSER Act 2007 & IIIT Act 2024. applicants with Engineering Degree from foreign countries are not shortlisted to send in.

  • applicants must be between 20 to 27 years of age as on 01 January 2027. Unmarried test-takers born not earlier than 01 January 2000 along with not later than 01 January 2007 are eligible to submit . Only the date of birth as recorded in the Matriculation/Secondary School Examination Certificate or an equivalent (10th) certificate will be accepted; no other document relating to age will be accepted.

  • The selection procedure for Indian Army TGC-144 Recruitment 2026 consists of multiple successive stages – shortlisting of applications based on cumulative percentage of marks in the Engineering degree (stream-wise), SSB Interview (five days), Medical Examination, Merit List, as well as issuance of Joining Letter. Indian Army TGC-144 Recruitment 2026 - Training Details
  • Chosen test-takers will be detailed for training at Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun for approximately 12 months (January 2027 to December 2027). One year ante date seniority from the date of commission will be granted to Engineering Graduates of TGC Entry for the purpose of seniority, promotion, along with increment of pay. On successful completion of training, cadets will be granted Permanent Commission in the rank of Lieutenant.
  • applicants will not be allowed to marry during the period of training. The cost of training at IMA is at Government expense; aspirants withdrawing for personal reasons will be liable to refund at Rs. 16,260/- per week (with 8% annual increment) as per MoD letter No. A candidate who marries subsequent to the date of application, though successful at SSB in addition to medical, will not be inducted for training. 16(1)/2017-D(GS.II) dt 15 Mar 22.
Indian Army TGC-144 Recruitment 2026 - Pay & Promotion Structure
  • On successful commissioning, the pay of the officer shall be fixed at the first cell of Level 10 in the Pay Matrix. CTC on commissioning is approximately Rs. 17–18 Lakh per annum (excluding free medical cover as well as travel to home town once a year). A stipend of Rs. 56,100/- per month is payable during the entire duration of training at IMA, Dehradun. The training period shall not be treated as commissioned service.

How to Apply for Indian Army TGC-144 Recruitment 2026
  • Applications must be submitted online only through the government Indian Army Recruiting website www.joinindianarmy.nic.in. Click on ‘Officer Entry send in/Login’ along with then click ‘Registration’ (registration not required if already registered). Fill the online registration form after reading the instructions carefully. After registering, click on ‘ submit Online’ under Dashboard, then click ‘ register ’ shown against Technical Graduate Course. The online portal will be active from 13-05-2026 (1500 hrs) to 11-06-2026 (1500 hrs). Aadhaar number in addition to Matriculation certificate are mandatory for registration.
  • No changes to details submitted in the online application can be made after closure of application. test-takers must click on ‘Submit’ each time they open the application for editing. CGPA/Grades must be converted into Marks as stated in the formulae adopted by the concerned University before filling in the online application. applicants must submit only one online application; receipt of multiple applications will result in cancellation of candidature. DIGILOCKER certificates will not be accepted in lieu of original certificates.

  • One copy of the printout of application duly signed along with affixed with self-attested photograph
  • Matriculation/Secondary School Examination certificate along with marksheet (proof of Date of Birth, candidate’s name in addition to Parent’s name)

  • It is informed that, Engineering Degree/Provisional Degree issued by the recognised university (Provisional Degree not more than 6 months old at time of joining)

  • The official notification states that, Certificate from Controller of Exam/Registrar/Dean/Principal regarding cumulative percentage of marks upto 6th semester/3rd year (for final year appearing test-takers)
  • Certificate from Principal/Head of Institution stating candidate is in final year along with result will be declared by 01 Jan 2027 (for final year appearing test-takers)

  • The second copy of the printout of online application is to be retained by the candidate for reference. Important Instructions for Indian Army TGC-144 Recruitment 2026 Candidates
  • Only unmarried male Engineering Graduates who are citizens of India, subjects of Nepal, or persons of Indian origin from specified countries are shortlisted to register .
  • The conducting body has announced that, Any variation between the nomenclature of Engineering stream as given on the degree parchment/marksheet along with that submitted in the online application will result in cancellation of candidature.
  • Aspirants are advised that, Any variation in personal particulars (candidate’s name & parents’ name) in educational documents requires submission of an affidavit stating the variations.
  • Candidate must carry ORIGINAL Degree/Provisional Degree in addition to all semester/year marksheets for SSB.
  • No hard copy applications will be accepted – online submission only.
  • applicants must not marry until they detailed full training; violation will lead to discharge in addition to recovery of training cost.
  • Candidate should not have been debarred from appearing in any examination by UPSC.
  • The conducting body has announced that, Candidate should not have been arrested/convicted by a criminal court or involved in any court case.
  • aspirants withdrawn from NDA, IMA, OTA, Naval Academy, Air Force Academy or any Service Training Academy on disciplinary grounds are not meeting criteria to submit .
  • No compensation will be paid in respect of any injury sustained during SSB tests.
  • Once the SSB date has been shortlisted, no request for change of SSB Interview Date/Centre will be entertained or replied to.
  • aspirants appearing for SSB interview for the first time are entitled to AC III Tier to- along with -fro railway fare or bus fare including reservation-cum-sleeper charges within Indian limits.
