- Indian Institute of Information Technology Bhagalpur (IIIT Bhagalpur) has officially published Advertisement No. IIITBH/ADVT/NATS/2026/16 dated 21.08.2026 for the engagement of 21 Graduate as well as Technician Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961. IIIT Bhagalpur Apprentice Vacancy 2026 Department-Wise Details
- A total of 21 posts are available - 3 for Computer Science in addition to Engineering, 3 for Electronics & Communication Engineering, 3 for Mechatronics & Automation Engineering, 2 for Mathematics & Computing, 2 for Library, 1 for Finance & Accounts, 2 for Computer Centre/Website Management, 3 for Administration along with 2 for Store & Purchase.
- According to the latest notice, Reservation for these posts will be applicable as per Government of India norms. The notification does not specify a category-wise (UR/SC/ST/OBC/EWS) breakup for individual posts.
Educational Qualification
- The gap between the closing date of application (09.09.2026) as well as the passing date of the qualifying degree/diploma examination should not be more than two years. Applicants who have already registered for, undergone, or are undergoing apprenticeship training under the Apprentices Act elsewhere are not meeting criteria to send in.

- Only Indian nationals are shortlisted to register for this apprenticeship program.
IIIT Bhagalpur Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- As per the official update, Maximum Age: 25 years

- Upper age relaxation will be applicable for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD applicants as per Government of India guidelines. The OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) certificate must be issued after 01.04.2026 in the prescribed format. SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS applicants claiming age relaxation must upload the necessary certificates while filling the online registration form in addition to produce the original certificates at the time of document verification.
IIIT Bhagalpur Apprentice 2026 Stipend/Salary Structure
- No other payment shall be made to apprentices apart from the consolidated stipend mentioned above.
How to Apply Online for IIIT Bhagalpur Apprentice Recruitment 2026?
- Ensure you are registered on the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) 2.0 Portal.
- It is informed that, Browse the authorized NATS 2.0 application link: https://nats.education.gov.in/student_type.php
- The official notification states that, Fill in the online registration form with accurate personal, educational, as well as bank details.
- Upload the required category/relaxation certificates (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS/PwBD), if applicable.
- Enter the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying Degree/Diploma examination (convert CGPA to percentage using the institution's approved formula, if required).
- According to the latest notice, Ensure your Aadhaar-seeded bank account is DBT-enabled, as per Government of India norms.
- The department has confirmed that, Submit the application on or before 09.09.2026.
- Applications will be accepted only through the NATS 2.0 portal. No other mode of application will be entertained.
IIIT Bhagalpur Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Selection Process
- The shortlisting along with engagement of apprentices will be based solely on merit, i.e., the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying Degree/Diploma examination as claimed by the applicant in the registration form, along with mandatory qualification criteria.
- In case of a tie in percentage marks between two or more applicants, preference will be given to the applicant senior in age.
- If the tie persists even after applying the above criterion, the decision will be taken by the competent authority.
- Provisionally shortlisted applicants will be called for document verification on a specified date, time, in addition to venue.
- Joining is subject to successful verification of original documents in addition to a medical fitness certificate from a Government Hospital.
IIIT Bhagalpur Apprentice 2026 Required Documents for Verification
- Applicants shortlisted for document verification must carry the following documents in original along with one set of self-attested photocopies:
- Print-out of the online application document submitted on the NATS 2.0 portal
- As per the official update, Print-out of the page showing Aadhaar-seeded in addition to DBT-enabled bank account status
- Class X mark sheet or certificate indicating date of birth
- As per the official update, Qualifying Diploma/Graduation mark sheet along with certificate showing date/month/year of passing

IIIT Bhagalpur Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Important Instructions
- The conducting body has announced that, Applicant qualification will be assessed strictly based on the information provided in the online application document.
- Furnishing false or wrong information will lead to rejection/cancellation/termination of candidature or apprenticeship.
- The apprenticeship does not confer any right to claim employment at IIIT Bhagalpur, as well as the Institute has no liability to provide any job to apprentices after completion of training.
- No request for change of date/time/venue of document verification will be considered under any circumstances.
- The department has confirmed that, It is mandatory to appear in person for document verification; failure to do thus will result in rejection of candidature.
- As per the official update, No accommodation or travel allowance will be provided to apprentices at IIIT Bhagalpur.
- The Apprenticeship contract will be executed with the Regional Apprenticeship Advisor, Board of Apprenticeship Training (ER), Kolkata, in line with the Apprentices Act, 1961.
- The department has confirmed that, The apprenticeship period is 12 months from the date of joining, after which the contract terminates automatically.
