Candidates should note that, The hard copy of the printed application, along with self-attested copies of necessary certificates, must reach: The Director, Academic Coordination Division, Indira Gandhi National Open University, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi-110068, through registered or speed post on or before 30.10.2026.

IGNOU Vacancy 2026 - School-wise and Post-wise Details

A total of 42 positions (plus backlog openings from previous years) have been notified across 14 Schools of Studies for the posts of Professor, Associate Professor, in addition to Assistant Professor. According to the notification, this additionally includes backlog posts of SC, ST, in addition to OBC categories advertised in earlier years.

IGNOU Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria

The minimum qualification conditions for all posts shall be according to the University Grants Commission (UGC) Regulations, 2018, in addition to subsequent amendments, along with the norms of concerned regulatory bodies such as NCTE in addition to MCI, wherever applicable. Aspirants are advised that, Reservation benefits require applicants to upload documents justifying their claim as per Government of India norms.
Interested applicants should know that, OBC (NCL) certificates must be current for financial year 2026-27 along with valid for Central Government jobs.
