- Graduate degree in Textile Technology/ Textile Chemistry/ Chemical Engineering/ Biotechnology or Master’s Degree in Chemistry/ Environment Science/ Microbiology.
- Desirable: Experience in laboratory work like testing operation of equipment for cotton bleaching, cellulose extraction, biomass analysis, medical textile testing etc.; Exposure to analytical test methods for various fibrous biomass materials along with handling of analytical instruments; Working knowledge of computers/Internet.

- Minimum Age: 21 years

- Age Relaxation: 3 years for OBC, 5 years for SC/ST along with 10 years for PH test-takers as per GOI rules.
