Haryana Police has made available the Recruitment 2026 notification for 400 Special Police Officer posts. meeting criteria aspirants can attend the walk-in interview from 24 to 27 August 2026 at the designated venue. Haryana Police SPO Eligibility 2026
  • meeting criteria category: Ex-servicemen of the Armed Forces/Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), or ex-Constables of the disbanded Haryana State Industrial Security Force (HSISF)/Haryana Armed Police (HAP) Battalions.
  • Interested applicants should know that, Educational qualification: Minimum 10+2 from a recognized board.
  • Minimum service: At least 5 years of service in the Armed Forces/CAPFs.
  • As per the official update, applicants must not have been removed/dismissed from service in the Armed Forces/CAPFs on grounds of indiscipline, misconduct, or medical unfitness.
  • It is informed that, Medical category at discharge must be ‘A’.
  • Character certificate at discharge must be ‘Exemplary/Outstanding’.
  • Preference is given to aspirants with experience handling telecommunication equipment, particularly those who served in the Signal Corps of the Armed Forces/CAPFs.
  • In line with the affidavit requirement, test-takers must not have any pending criminal case in any court, in addition to must not have been previously appointed as an SPO in any other district of Haryana.
Haryana Police SPO Selection Process
  • Interested applicants should know that, aspirants appear in person on the date fixed for their district with the completed application document, original documents, one set of attested photocopies, affidavit, as well as photographs.

Terms & Conditions
  • The department has confirmed that, Engagement is for 1 year, or until regular appointment of personnel to these posts, whichever is earlier.
  • SPOs will not be posted at their home police station; preference for the home district is given at deployment, subject to availability of posts.
  • SPOs may be deployed anywhere in Haryana during emergent situations for short durations.
  • Interested applicants should know that, Services can be terminated at any time before the 1-year period, without notice, on grounds of indiscipline, misconduct, unsatisfactory performance, or non-requirement, by order of the Superintendent of Police, Telecommunication.
  • The order/decision of SP Telecommunication, Haryana is final; no appeal lies before any superior officer.
