- The department has confirmed that, Goa Samagra Shiksha has declared a total of 78 positions for the Teacher (Foundational Stage) post. The positions are distributed across different blocks of Goa.
- It is informed that, Category-wise opening details include OBC - 21 posts, ST - 9 posts, SC - 2 posts as well as UR - 46 posts.
GSS Teacher (Foundational Stage) Eligibility Criteria

GSS Teacher Qualification

- HSSC or equivalent certificate from a recognized board.
- The conducting body has announced that, Diploma in Early Childhood Care in addition to Education (ECCE) or Pre-Primary Teacher Education (PPTT) / D.El.Ed.
- OR B.Ed. in Early Childhood Education as per NEP-2020.
- OR Diploma in Special Education with valid RCI registration for inclusive classrooms.
- One year teaching or apprenticeship experience.
- Knowledge of Konkani.
Desirable Qualification
- As per the official update, Four-year integrated B.Ed. (Foundational Stage) as per NCTE’s new framework.
- Master’s degree in Child Development, Psychology or Education.

GSS Teacher Salary 2026
- Chosen aspirants for the Teacher (Foundational Stage) post will receive a fixed consolidated monthly salary of ₹20,000. The appointment will be purely on a contract basis up to 31 March 2027.
