What Is the DRDO GTRE Apprenticeship Training Programme 2026?

- GTRE's Apprenticeship Training Programme is conducted under the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) along with the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) for Graduate Engineering aspirants (BE/B.Tech). Key facts about the programme include:
- Duration: The apprenticeship period is one year.
- No job guarantee: Apprentices have no claim to permanent or temporary appointment at GTRE or DRDO upon completion of training.
- Provisional status: Selection is provisional until it is formally accepted by BOAT (for NATS) or RDSDE (for NAPS).
- According to the latest notice, Contract requirement: Every shortlisted candidate must execute a contract at the time of joining.

Documents Required for Document Verification
- This section lists the original documents along with photocopies aspirants must carry on the day of joining, as failure to produce any of these can lead to cancellation of selection.
- test-takers must bring one original copy plus one photocopy (Xerox) set of each of the following:
- 10th as well as 12th mark sheets along with certificates (for proof of Date of Birth)
- The department has confirmed that, Mark sheets for all semesters of the qualifying examination
- Qualification Certificate / Provisional Degree Certificate issued by a competent authority
- Caste Certificate (if applicable)

- Government-issued Photo ID / Aadhaar Card
- NATS/NAPS Portal Registration Number/Certificate
- Three passport-size in addition to two stamp-size photographs
- Valid Police Verification Certificate from the last place of residence (issued by district authority)
- Medical Fitness Certificate from a Government Doctor or Registered Medical Practitioner
- Bank account details with Aadhaar seeding (front page copy of passbook)
