CVRDE Selection Process
- test-takers will be shortlisted based on marks obtained in the qualifying ITI examination, followed by a Walk-In Interview. Chosen aspirants will be given their joining letter on the spot at CVRDE, Avadi, Chennai-600054. It is clarified that no employment is guaranteed to apprentices on completion of their training, as selection along with training are strictly under the provisions of the Apprentices Act, 1961.
- Additional requirements notes: only aspirants who passed the qualifying exam in 2023, 2024, 2025, or 2026 are picked - those who passed earlier than 2023 are not meeting criteria . test-takers whose results were not declared by 30-08-2026 will not be considered for training, though a provisional certificate is acceptable at the time of joining, with the final NCVT/SCVT certificate to be submitted later. Expired OBC certificates will not be accepted.
