The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has declared the Teacher Recruitment Examination 4.0 (TRE-4.0) notification under Advertisement No. 14/2026, inviting online applications for 32,388 School Teacher posts under the Education Department, Government of Bihar. Fee payment in addition to online applications begin 1 September 2026, with the application window closing on 30 September 2026.

- test-takers should hold a valid CTET or STET certificate for the respective paper corresponding to the post applied for.

- Age relaxation will be applicable as per Bihar Government rules for reserved categories.
BPSC TRE 4.0 Pay Scale 2026
- The official notification states that, In addition to basic pay, shortlisted teachers receive Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), along with medical benefits as per Bihar Government rules.

- Media reports indicate this is the first TRE cycle to introduce a two-tier examination format (Preliminary Test followed by Main Exam), replacing the single-stage pen- along with -paper exam used in earlier TRE phases, with no negative marking in the Preliminary Test.
