AIIMS Bilaspur Senior Resident Vacancy 2026
- Candidates should note that, A total of 69 Senior Resident (Non-Academic) posts are vacant, divided into Broad Specialty (42 posts) as well as Super Specialty (27 posts) departments.
Super Specialty – Department-wise Vacancy
- In case of non-availability of EWS applicants , the post shall be filled under the UR category. Unreserved category applicants can as well send in against reserved posts; if considered due to unavailability of a reserved-category candidate, their engagement in such cases will be for a period of 44 days only from the date of joining. 4% of the total posts are reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) (non-surgical jobs only) among Senior Resident posts.
AIIMS Bilaspur Senior Resident Eligibility Criteria
- test-takers must fulfil the following essential qualifications to send in for the AIIMS Bilaspur Senior Resident (Non-Academic) walk-in interview.
- A medical qualification included in the first or second schedule, or Part II of the third schedule, of the Indian Medical Council Act 1956 ( aspirants with Part II third schedule qualifications must additionally fulfil the conditions of Section 13(3) of the Act).
- Must be registered with the Central/State Medical Council.
- A postgraduate degree, i.e., MD/MS/DNB as per MCI rule in the specialty concerned, or its equivalent from a recognized University/Institute.
- test-takers must hold a valid qualification (pass certificate) as on the final date for receipt of applications.
Dual (Medical/Non-Medical) Eligibility Departments
- Candidates should note that, For the departments below, test-takers may register through either the medical or the non-medical route.
- The prescribed qualification is the minimum requirement; merely possessing it does not entitle a candidate to selection. Only aspirants who have been declared successful in their qualifying degree examination, along with who will entire their tenure for the same on or before the crucial date, will be meeting criteria .
AIIMS Bilaspur Senior Resident Salary 2026
- Candidates should note that, Picked Senior Residents (Non-Academic) will be paid according to the following pay matrix, along with admissible allowances applicable to Government of India employees stationed at Bilaspur, H.P.
- The tenure of the post is 3 years for Broad Specialty as well as 2 years for Super Specialty (extendable with approval of the Executive Director), provided the candidate's overall past residency period at AIIMS Bilaspur or another institute does not exceed the stipulated period.
AIIMS Bilaspur Senior Resident Application Fee

AIIMS Bilaspur Senior Resident Selection Process
- Walk-in Interview will be held at the Administrative Block, 3rd Floor, AIIMS Bilaspur, Kothipura, Himachal Pradesh-174037.
- applicants are required to report on or before 09:00 AM on 21.08.2026.
- test-takers must appear physically before the interview board; no request for an online interview will be entertained.
- Based on verification of original documents, the Screening Committee may shortlist applicants for interview.
- Only original certificates of test-takers picked for the post of Senior Resident will be verified, including MBBS degree certificate, Internship Completion Certificate, qualifying degree certificate, Medical Registration Certificate, Date of Birth Certificate/10th Standard Certificate, Caste Certificate, in addition to other relevant certificates.

- Since this is a walk-in recruitment, test-takers are NOT required to fill any online online form. The process to be followed is:
- It is informed that, Prepare a duly filled in addition to signed original online form.

AIIMS Bilaspur Senior Resident Important Instructions
- It is informed that, Incomplete forms or applications without required documents will not be considered for further processing as well as will be rejected.
- As per the official update, Reservation for OBC/EWS/SC/ST is as per Central Government rules, with 4% reservation for PwBD test-takers (non-surgical jobs, horizontal basis).
- Interested applicants should know that, OBC aspirants must attach a non-creamy layer certificate issued on or after 01.04.2026 (valid for financial year 2026-27).
- EWS applicants must have a valid income & asset certificate (family income below Rs. 8 lakh) issued on or after 01.04.2026 for FY 2026-27.
- SC/ST/OBC/EWS certificates must be issued by a Tehsildar or above-rank authority in the prescribed Central Government format.
- Canvassing of any kind will lead to disqualification.
- Private practice of any type is strictly prohibited for picked test-takers.
- Picked aspirants may be posted at any place in the Institute along with may be required to work in shifts, as stated in the discretion of the MS/Dean/Executive Director.
- According to the latest notice, The appointment is according to the Government of India's Residency Scheme in addition to can be terminated by either side with one month's notice or one month's salary in lieu of notice.
- The conducting body has announced that, A waiting list will be maintained; posts arising from non-joining or resignation will be offered to waitlisted applicants as per merit.
