UTET 2026 Notification: Uttarakhand Teacher Eligibility Test Application, Dates, Eligibility & Syllabus

The Uttarakhand Vidyalayi Shiksha Parishad (Board of School Education Uttarakhand), Ramnagar, Nainital has released the notification for the Uttarakhand Teacher Eligibility Test 2026, known as UTET-I & II 2026. The test is conducted in two levels - UTET-I for candidates seeking eligibility to teach primary classes (I to V) and UTET-II for candidates seeking eligibility to teach upper primary classes (VI to VIII). Online applications open on 14 July 2026 and the exam is proposed to be held on 29 September 2026 (Tuesday). Passing UTET is one of the minimum qualifications required for appointment as a teacher in government, government-aided, and state-recognized primary and upper primary schools in Uttarakhand.

Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks AND a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed/BTC), passed or currently in training/enrolled. | Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 45% marks AND a 2-year D.El.Ed/BTC obtained as per NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations, 2002, passed or currently in training/enrolled. | Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks AND a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed), passed or currently in training/enrolled. | Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks AND a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education) recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI), passed or currently in training/enrolled. | Graduation (or equivalent) AND a 2-year D.El.Ed/BTC, passed or in the final year of training/enrolled. | Shiksha Mitras working on honorarium in government primary schools who have completed the 2-year D.El.Ed training from IGNOU with state government permission. | In-service teachers regularly appointed as Assistant Teacher/Headmaster (Primary) or Assistant Teacher/Headmaster (Upper Primary) in any UDISE-coded school teaching Classes 1-5. | Graduation (or equivalent) AND a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (BTC/D.El.Ed), passed. | Graduation (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks AND a 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed/L.T./Shiksha Shastri, institutional mode only), passed or in training/enrolled. | Graduation (or equivalent) with at least 45% marks AND a 1-year B.Ed/L.T./Shiksha Shastri (institutional mode only), obtained per applicable NCTE regulations, passed or in training/enrolled. | Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks AND a 4-year B.El.Ed, passed or in training/enrolled. | Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks AND a 4-year B.A./B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed, passed or in training/enrolled. | Graduation (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks AND a B.Ed (Special Education) recognized by RCI, passed or in training/enrolled. | Graduation or Post-Graduation with at least 50% marks AND B.Ed, passed - the minimum-percentage-at-graduation condition does not apply to those who had already taken admission to a B.Ed/B.El.Ed or equivalent course before 29 July 2011. | In-service teachers regularly appointed as Assistant Teacher/Headmaster or Assistant Teacher (L.T.
