UPSSSC PET 2026 Notification Out - Apply Online, Exam Date, Syllabus & Eligibility

The Uttar Pradesh Adhinasth Seva Chayan Ayog (UP Subordinate Services Selection Commission - UPSSSC), Lucknow, has released the notification for the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) - 2026 (Advertisement No. 16-Exam/2026), published on 01.08.2026. PET is the mandatory first stage of UPSSSC's two-tier selection system - candidates must qualify PET to be eligible to apply for Main Examinations for various Group 'C' posts under the Commission's jurisdiction.

High School (10th) or equivalent

18–40 years (as on 01.07.2026) Candidates applying for PET-2026 must have completed a minimum of 18 years of age and must not have exceeded 40 years of age as on 01 July 2026 . Age Relaxation Category Age Relaxation SC / ST / OBC and other reserved categories As specified by the Government from time to time Classified/skilled sportspersons (as per G.O. dated 28.11.1985) 5 years Ex-Servicemen 3 years, after deducting actual military service rendered from the candidate's age (net relaxation not exceeding 3 years) Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (Divyangjan) (as per latest G.O. dated 03.02.2008) 15 years UP State Government employees working in state services (as per G.O. dated 27.08.2013) 5 years
