Only female candidates are eligible to apply. The applicant must be a permanent resident (Sthayi Nivasini) of the same Gram Sabha/Ward (in urban areas: the same Ward) in which the Anganwadi Centre vacancy exists - applications from candidates of other districts or other states will be rejected. The minimum educational qualification for the Anganwadi Worker post is Intermediate (12th pass) or equivalent. | Where more than one candidate with the same minimum qualification (Intermediate) is available, a merit list will be prepared for all candidates of the same category taking into account both the minimum qualification (Intermediate or equivalent) and the highest educational qualification (Post-Graduate). | No written examination or interview will be conducted for the selection - merit will be based entirely on educational qualifications. Additionally, for the Anganwadi Worker post specifically, the applicant must meet one of the following preference criteria related to her socioeconomic background in the Gram Sabha/Ward. | Preference Order for Anganwadi Worker Selection (Category 'Ka') | Priority Preference Category (i) Woman from a Below Poverty Line (BPL) family who is a permanent resident of the same Gram Sabha/Ward (Urban areas: same Ward) (ii) Legally separated / Divorced woman from a BPL family who is a permanent resident of the same Gram Sabha/Ward (Urban: same Ward) (iii) Widow woman from a BPL family - if no candidate found in (i) and (ii): woman from a BPL family in the same Gram Sabha/Ward (Urban: same Ward) | Sub-category 'Kha' (if no eligible candidate found in category 'Ka') | (i) Widow woman from an Above Poverty Line (APL) family in the same Gram Sabha/Ward (ii) Legally separated / Divorced woman from an APL family in the same Gram Sabha/Ward (iii) Widow/Divorced woman from an APL family - if no candidate found in (i) and (ii), women from APL families in the same Gram Sabha/Ward | If no eligible candidate from any of the above categories is available in the Gram Sabha, selection will be done as per the priority list from the concerned Nyaya Panchayat.

Age limit in full

The age of the applicant must be minimum 18 years and maximum 35 years as on the cut-off date of 01 January 2026. The date of birth as mentioned in the High School (10th) Marksheet and Certificate will be the only accepted proof for age verification.
